As a mother the biggest and the most time taking task for me is feeding my son. This is something which is like a burden on my shoulders after every few hours.
I agree to your point that feeding while watching TV is not advisable. But this is my only lifeline. If he is not engrossed in television or tablet he will not open his mouth for sure.
I really wish i will find a solution soon.

hi Dr. Kikol, I have no T.V and no tablet at home only smart phone. But, my 8 year-old daughter might love to read while eating. We will scold her and warn to take away her meal.
Because, we want her to taste, appreciate and enjoy the real food. Your kids might be a little younger, but only serve him food when he is hungry, maybe can help to push him to eat faster or open his mouth. 🙂And, compete with other same age peer can help the kids to build up good habit too, maybe it will help when he is entering the kinde next year! All the best!

I am happy that you really knows the things to do with regards to the schooling of your kids.
Indeed, it would be nice that the children be sent on an afternoon schedule and would just be fetched by the working mother, as she comes home from work.
Though, I think in our place kindergarten or prep-school starts at about 9:00 a.m. AT least, by then the child could have slept well. ANd yes, they should be trained to sleep early at night so they won’t detest waking up early for school the next day,
Sometimes, we as parents should think of ways on how we can make things easier for our kids lest we too will be stressed by them not waking up early or not wanting to go to school.
-
@Dina, haha, my solution is not sending him out for nursery, so he can sleep as much as he can, but his father doesn’t like him to sleep too much till too late to wake up.
Yes, agree with you, the pressure from the parent will caused the children not willing to go to nursery and sometimes, too much homework will made the children don’t like to go to nursery too.

Yes, when you are a stay at home, you can just educate your kid yourself. There are a lot of learning books that you can show to him to aid your teaching. Besides indeed you can teach him a lot of things more, like good manners, Godly teachings and yes crafts that a kid can do.
In our times as a kid, we were taught how to read the ABCs through an old retired teacher/ auntie who teaches what we call “kartilla”.
At least before we went to formal first primary grade, we already know how to read as well as write the ABCs amongst other things.
As to the tuition fee, just minimal.
-
Thanks for sharing, yes, we learnt from some retired teacher or educated auntie or uncles when we were kids, and some of us learn drawing or colouring when attended the class in the church. The guide taught us sing and dance as well. What a sweet memory.
I prefer to let my kid stay at home not only cost saving, but I don’t want him to be burdened by too many home work, have no time to play around and climb the trees. Hahah!

Noting down in the classroom and again rewriting with all decorations and necessary techniques using circles in place of a dot, underlying the important information may be useful to get it back into your memory during an examination may be a good idea. But it works in lower classes only. Once you catch up the steps one by one in the ladder of education system it becomes a herculean task which needs covering various subjects.
-
You’re wrong. It works in Law School, which is pretty much at the very top of the hill when it comes to hard subjects, a lot of information, and needing to think. It works.
-
-
All the techniques used in school studies help to keep in mind all that have been learnt in the process of teaching. The use of personal diction is not ruled out.At times the use of symbols and unique writings help only the student.
-
I would not have written this item if I did not know, FOR A FACT that it works.
-
-
Note-taking also works well for me. And even when I’m done with school, I still do a lot of note-taking for research and article writing. Handwriting and copying important lines helps reinforce my understanding of the text.
-
The act of writing, by hand is beyond typing when it comes to imprinting in the brain.
-

I do that when I was in college. I rewrite all that I have taken notes in the classes I attended.
Then after rewriting , I would read them aloud. That way, I am already at least putting them in my mind.
Like you said, I put highlights in those I think are important. My highlights are of different colors. Color coding as it is said.
Pink would be the most important items and should be memorized.
Green would be those that need not be memorized but should be understood on how they are like that.I also take time to relax after I have reviewed what I have written. I listen to music after that, or watch a nice show or eat.
-
You know exactly what you are doing. The method works.
-
-
I need not to take exam anymore for the time being and the past ten years , I only busy with napkin and breastfeeding, haha!
Anyway, I love and miss those study time when I was a student, reading and studying is the most enjoyable task in my life.
I might go back to school for further study in the future. But, e-learning is more common nowadays!
-
Even if it is elearning you want your Beat Book, you want to sit outside on the beach or in the garden, and relax and learn.
-
-
The best way for me to study was to re-write everything i wrote in class. The more i wrote, the more i memerized. I would sometimes just read the material various times to memerize but it was easier to memerize when i would write it down.
Your method is also a good way to. If you have a specific way to write things down that will help you learn then it becomes easier to study also.
When i was still in school i didn’t study that hard because i was a fast learner and i would just re-write my notes for coleagues and that would be my study session.

Your write up is well understood.I get worried over people who use other people’s work without acknowledging them. However, giving honour to whom it is due is discipline and good knowledge.
-
When you quote someone, and give attribution, it is not plagiarism. Saying; “This Book was written by…” is surely not you taking credit so is totally legal.
-
-
Very well written my friend.
I must say, I am not into writing posts that have facts because that indeed needs some facts that are easy to read on the internet. Though I know copying them would be plagiarizing. I might get some facts but give credit to where I get it and that’s not plagiarizing.
As to pictures, I suppose those freely displayed on google and credit google for it are free for use pictures?
Thank you for clearly explaining about these things.
-
It is perfectly legal to use facts found anywhere as long as you admit it. If I am quoting CNN or a reporter, or a definition, I give the attribution which immediately sidesteps the issue.

There is a saying that birds of the same feather flocks together so it is not surprising that some people will support an empty barrel because they themselves are empty. How can educated people follow a man whose words are not even coordinated. He speak lies and they take it as truth. this is where america will break up and terrorism will hit america soon.
It is part of the dumbing down process. Americans have gotten dumber and dumber over the years until they can elect someone stupider than they are. The fact is, he’ll bring America into such derision that it will take a long time for it to recover.
