@shavkat: I can understand what you went through. I didn’t have the same issue when I had this arrangement with my manager but I guess being given the “perks” to be allowed to work from home is really a not-so-common arrangement and people can get jealous about it. Just keep doing a good job, that’s what’s important at the end of the day.

@shavkat: Oh, that’s great for you, then. I also have a friend working as a freelancer who can’t stand the office politics (and gossip) that’s why she decided that the office setup is not for her. Lucky for you that you need not look elsewhere and that the company has provision or allowed you to work-from-home while you do the same type of job! |

I have a friend who does this (ie virtual English teacher) for Korean students but she is hired for by a company so she goes to work similar to the traditional office workers. I was invited to try something like this but the hours are fixed since the children are based in Asia. And since I am located in Ireland, the timezone difference is too much for me not to mention that I have erratic “freelance hours” since I still work full-time and only use freelance online earning to have extra cash. So I think this is really a nice way to earn online and it seems you are having fun while doing it 🙂 |

My working day is almost complete (10 Aug 2016) and so far, so good. Although it didn’t start out too well for me (son is having massive tantrums with the nanny), so I started my day with a rush to finish my work ASAP. I mean, I don’t get him from the nanny as I don’t want him getting used that I will do that every time he throws tantrums at the nanny and also to “empower” the nanny that she can handle it but even so, it is easier said than done. I don’t think there’s any parent who’d like to hear their kids cry anyway. Things calmed down a bit so I am just spending the next half an hour trying to relax from the stressful morning: – Submit an article to a client (Upwork) – done – Start working on a new milestone (Upwork) – done – Write one article for LB – done – Registered at Clixsense – done, and managed to get a few clicks, too! – Written a travel article for ExpatPost in draft mode – done I still have a couple of minutes left before my son’s nanny leave but I am not keen to write another article for LB. I want to wait getting paid so will spend the extra time browsing around the forums. |

@swalia: Thanks for the well wishes 🙂 It actually feels good to see my articles getting published not to mention my name is in it, too. I do hope that the website goes well and that the founders stays true to their promise as well. @shakvat: Thanks for the support. There are a lot of published articles there already and you might pick up a few tips while reading some of the articles there as well. |

@pcwork: The website pays it’s members with “company shares” in exchange of 50 articles contributed to the website. At the moment, it doesn’t pay per article so the feeling is similar to working for free as you work on the 50 articles. I believe the founders are still searching for contributors and you can learn more by checking the Now Hiring page. |

Wow congrats for redeeming the third time. 🙂 It is my first time to redeem and the amount just a liitle bit over $10. I am hoping I will receive the money on the 10th next month without issues 🙂 |
|
This is my first time to cash out here – and I am hoping everything will go well. I didn’t wait until the end of the month, it might slip my mind so after I received my earnings from Upwork, I decided to request for cash out here as well. I didn’t earn much and it took me 2 months to reach the amount but that makes me happy nonetheless 🙂 |
|
Thanks for clarifying this @bestwriter. I was also confused by the redemption rules and thought that if I redeemed any time before the 10th, I’ll be able to get it – regardless if it was the same month. So I initially had plans to try to reach 10USD first week of July but read somewhere that the cutoff was the previous month. That’s why I didn’t bother going through all the effort ahaha! |

I am doing my fair share of creative writing (mostly poetry) but I am not in a paid-per-post forum similar to here. Here is the website in case you are interested, it’s called Literative. It is a nice community and there are aspiring creative writers around where you can ask for advice or read recommendations about publishers, marketing tactic, etc – especially if you plan to go that route. |

@ruby3881: I think it was an accidental strategy, to be honest. I have a number of products that I use and since I recently discovered Asian (Korean) skincare, received tons of samples to try! I love to write about other topics such as parenting, SEO, and travel but I reserve those topics for my clients thru Upwork 🙂 |

It is sad if Blogjob will no longer come back. I used to love the site not only it allows me to earn faster compared here but the guys over there are really nice to work with, too. I don’t have any intentions of removing my published articles over there since I believe Sheridan already paid for those over the past two payout requests he paid me. If he continues to run the website using my published articles to generate revenue, that’s the risk I took anyway when I used Blogjob to write instead of using my own blog to do it anyway. |

I think it is possible to “link back” to a previously written personal post here. I do the same thing with mine and even if I talk about product reviews and recipes (in general), I try to find a way to link back to some of my posts. It is also nice to share other articles written by other writers here but there are too many I don’t have much time to read everything! LOL! |

Wow, I admire you for still visiting the site until now! To be honest, I haven’t checked it in days but I would love to be able to publish my pending articles there sitting in draft before the site is gone for good. |
