@egzoski, you’ve just joined here and you’re, of course, new to the common issues that were presented for the admin for resolution. The issue of enabling “edit” option to either in the blog post or in the forum. We’ve no action so far from the admin. We’ve no choice but to be extra careful of what we post so that it would be in order.

I have just come back after a month of inactivity. I am a bit surprised seeing my friends here complaining about the delay of their uploaded posts for approval, the delay of their payoff. What’s up? I do sympathize with them for I would be experiencing that too if I had been a month ago.

Gil Camporazo wrote a new post, How Heroes Are Made? 8 years, 3 months ago

The fourth Monday of August is celebrated as our country’s national heroes day. President Rody Duterte is expected to lead the country on this memorable day. This year’s theme is “Bawat Pilipino, Bayaning K […]

    • Certainly, President Elect Rodrigo Duterte i think is the best President to ever conquer the Philippines presidency. Not only of his great love for his country but to lead all of his people in the right path, goodness, and unity. Most especially on his drug campaign which is being sensational now a days not only here in the philippines but in every part of the world. We must fight with our might to stop and destroy drugs which leading our people in total ruin. For me, being a hero is something we should strive for, to give our best for the sake of other with the love we have for our country unselfishly, and to die, defending our nation’s unity and peace.

    • As of this time, many Filipino would consider the Philippine President Rody Duterte as a hero. In his early governance, he was able to crack down the drugs issues in the country. Drugs have destroyed lots of the family. They have ruined the future of the youths. The all-out war imposed by President Duterte against drug lords, drug pushers and even users was supported by the Filipino people.

So far, there are more than a thousand drug-related killings had been recorded. And there will be more coming. Some sectoral groups claim that it’s a human rights violations. Those who have been killed haven’t given the chance to defend themselves. Their families, relatives shouted foul. They’re looking for the justice.

Well, it couldn’t be denied that the rating of the new president was very satisfactory. The people were comfortable for the governing style employed by the president. In today’s celebration of National Heroes Day in the country the Philippines, President Duterte should be considered the new hero of the Philippines.

Without him, drug lords, drug pushers and the drug users haven’t been cracked down and killed. Drugs according to the President is the number enemy of the society and it should be destroyed. It should be never given a chance to continue, to influence the youth, and every fiber of the society. It should be totally eradicated.

Mabuhay, the modern hero in the person of President Duterte.

    • Hero Day will be celebrated with full pomp and show in Philippine I think that National Heroes’ Day is a national holiday of Philippines, celebrated to pay homage to the National Heroes of the country. Every year this day falls on the fourth Monday of August. Initially National Heroes’ day was celebrated on 30th of November as it was the birthday of Andres Bonifacio, founder of the Katipunan.

These heroes are the men and women in Philippine history whose acts of courage enabled the Philippines to grow as a nation. Whilst National Heroes Day celebrates both known and unknown heroes, a National Heroes Committee was set up in 1995 to recommend those who should be counted as ‘National Heroes’. Following certain criteria, they found a select group of people who, they believed, should be honoured for their deeds. These were:

      Jose Rizal
      Andres Bonifacio
      Emilio Aguinaldo
      Apolinario Mabini
      Marcelo H. del Pilar
      Sultan Dipatuan Kudarat
      Juan Luna
      Melchora Aquino
      Gabriela Silang

Jose Rizal and Andres Bonifacio were two of the main proponents against Spanish rule. As a result, both were given their own special days commemorating their lives and deeds.

    • This is very interesting! My mom went through a stage of being interested in numerology when I was young and I’d always steal the books she got from the library and read them. Always found them complex.

    • Numerolgy is sometimes some sort of ways of fortelling the destiny of someone but don’t ever count on it. It’s demonic. Why? No one can tell or even know what would be the destiny of peope but God alone. Star worship is forbidden even bofore by the Church. Astrology, palmistry, numerology, horoscope, divination is a tool of Satan to decieved the world.

    • Thanks for sharing, this is sound very interesting! I will give a try later of the day for some fun. Is this the one of the ways of fortune telling as well? We believe on looking for someone in front of the temple for telling our future.

Lola wrote a new post, What is Amygdala 8 years, 3 months ago

The amygdala are two tonsil shaped groups of cells located deep within the temporal lobes of the brain. They are responsible for regulating emotion, processing memory, and helping with split second decision […]

    • I have read that a roughly almond-shaped mass of grey matter inside each cerebral hemisphere, involved with the experiencing of emotions. Your amygdala are essential to your ability to feel certain emotions and to perceive them in other people. This includes fear and the many changes that it causes in the body.

If you are being followed at night by a suspect-looking individual and your heart is pounding, chances are that your amygdala are very active!

In certain studies, researchers have directly stimulated the amygdalae of patients who were undergoing brain surgery, and asked them to report their impressions. The subjective experience that these patients reported most often was one of imminent danger and fear. In studies of the very small number of patients who have had had only their amygdala destroyed (as the result of a stroke, for example), they recognized the facial expressions of every emotion except fear.

In fact, the amygdala seems to modulate all of our reactions to events that are very important for our survival. Events that warn us of imminent danger are therefore very important stimuli for the amygdala, but so are events that signal the presence of food, sexual partners, rivals, children in distress, and so on.

That is why the amygdala has so many connections with several other structures in the brain.

The answer depends on the will of the writer. It is his desire to do one or the other. Writing a blog post could save an effort to gain a better reward. Writing a forum or replying to a forum could earn also a penny. Whatever the writer would like to do as I have said is dependent on his desire which he feels comfortable to do it.

Recovering from mental illness? You may never have heard that you can recover, but it is true that you can. Recovery may not mean that you can stop taking medications or going to therapy but you can live a more […]

    • I have learned someone in our region having a mental illness brought to mental hospital for treatment, but when the patient was out after few months he became mentally insane again.Perhaps you are right, the patient was not surrounded with helpful people. He was triggered by his previous condition. It should be better for the sick person to stay in a peaceful place.

    • I have read quite a few of your blogs. You have determination and that is your trump card. Well done.

    • Recovery from mental illness is next to impossibility if it is too serious. The insane people may seem to forget that he is insane for the exposure and treatment he received from the institution or the mental hospital. That is why they are caged at the said hospital until they die.

Anyway for the sake of discussion. Let’s assume that the mental patient has recovered and he has shown signs of fully recovered. Well, he may be released from the hospital and be brought home. He may be sane for one year or two or so as we are hoping for. But the possibility of relapse is possible.

Since we are only human, we are sometimes irritated, felt disgusted, got angry. In short, we couldn’t control ourselves. And I am afraid this would also happen to the recovered mental person. And his family might forget that their member of the family is once an insane. His request wouldn’t be granted. He is maltreated and he is not given much attention anymore. In his state of anger, he would become vengeful and a great relapse of his mental illness would take place. For the second time around, he would be ferocious as the wild animals. He would turn wild and he would kill anyone in his sight or presence.

      That would possible. Believe me.
