Kenya is among the countries that technology is life, but these only include some part of Kenya 70% of Kenya is technology survey, we use technology in various parts of our lives, from firming to office jobs… we use technology to better our lives and especially in remote areas, the level of entrepreneurship is growing in Kenya thanks to the availability of technology. unfortunately this wasn’t the story a couple of years ago , thus as much as we are growing, many people from the old generation still have an issue with technology, growth, change. technology changes everyday, there is always something new , this unfortunately isn’t received well with all parties, but as technology grown is as eventually we will be able to use it both young and old

Yes, i sleep with my phone, it’s usually on vibrate but yes it’s always next to me, my usual routine at night is finish most of my work in bed, that’s usually with my phone since i don’t carry my laptop to my bed, this also the same when it come to my morning routine, the first thing is going through my emails, which again is with my phone. i do have a habit as well when i wake up in the middle of the night, i will go on line or when its lack of sleep, i reach for my phone and go online. if in the middle of the night i think of something, i will wake up reach for my phone and immediately and start working. my life revolves somehow around my phone and laptop. so sleeping with my home is part of my ordinary life |

yes i do give money to beggars son the streets but not all the time. Many at times and especially in Kenya, begging has become a business, people who no longer want to work, go to begging, people who use their children to beg, because they know, you will definitely give money to children, we have people who beg just to see if you will give it to them. its always so difficult to know who genuinely need help and who doesn’t so most of the time if i have coins, the first one i see to calls to me, i will give or just wait till im at the supermarket and fill the red cross coin boxes |

Killing a family member for money or power has become so common in Kenya it’s literally worrisome the other day, in upcountry, a family friend’s family was having the funeral for both the mother and cousin, both killed by the Ladies eldest son, reason: Greed and Jealousy you see ever since they were young, this family had three children, when the ladies sister died, the natural thing to do was raise her child. Since this ladies children are the high status wannabes, all of them moved home except their cousin, who stayed home with the mum. fast forward, two weeks ago, all the children are in their fifties, married with kids, the cousin is married too but lives close to the mother’s house, in fact the same compound….apparently the children were jealous of the relationship the mother had with the cousin and since the mother was sickling due to age, they assumed the mum would leave the property to the cousin, so they arranged amongst themselves and they killed both of them. living children without a father, Wife without a husband and their mum killed. it’s just a sad situation, since the children actually came to the funeral…. just to confirm the job was done and claim the land, kicking out the young family. |

Man is definitely More Important. I have been through two phases in my life, the money phase and the broke phase, both phases showed me who is more important and why. When i was with money, i had more friends, more spending, more responsibilities, more of everything, at this point, my company was making a turnover of 200k a month, i met great people and others i’m sure i will never see again. by terrible luck, we had internal company wrangles and soon enough we were broke, lost all our client , went from Riches to rags all in under 3 month. In my poor phase, i lost ninety percent of my friends, my plans for moving out were at a stand still, i couldn’t even afored cab fare so most of the time i walked, but one thing never changed, the connections i made when i had money. when i was done moaning, i called some of the contacts i made and best thing, due to my great service to them back in the day, they were happy to take me back, though we started at lower rates than before, i’m building my company back up again through the help of the people. Money comes and goes, but great connections last forever. |

this is really in interesting question, why you may wonder, it’s because two years ago if i was asked this same question the answer would have been ridiculous. it wasn’t until mid last year, when i discovered what made he happy. it wasn’t until i separated myself from my friends, shut everyone out and went underground in search of me, when i found my answer. you see i was always the Friend’s girl, the girl who all my friends knew i was always there for them, the girl who would drop everything for a week just to be by my friend’s side, what i never realised, it was always me giving and never getting it in return, back then i thought i was happy, truth is i wasn’t. have you ever woken up one day and thought what happened to life? was i asleep as it moved on, well that was me. i was busy being a friend i never realised, my friends moved on without me, i never realised it much later, i was attending weddings, baby showers, birthdays but nine from my side, soon enough i was the single girl in the group of married couples, and before long i was the girl everyone tried to hook up so as to fit in. i hated that feeling. i had to take time out of everything, regroup, start a fresh, find out for myself who i am, and that’s when i found out what makes me happy. the answer is Me. I make me happy. i had to learn, to love myself, cater to myself, study who i am and realise all needed was me to be happy. no pressure to fit in, no pressure to get married, not stress over losing friends. I finally understood, I made me Happy and that’s all that mattered. |

For me when all else fails… Pray. for the longest time i wasn’t happy with a lot of things in my life and this led to a lot of disappointments, i would start a business, it picks but a couple of months in, it would collapse, i would get employed, three months in nothing is working so i get fired, business partners, everything would just go wrong, many at times i used to blame myself, till one time someone told me pray. I always prayed, to me it was that simple, i doubled in the prayer session, joined a novena group, went to church, you name it i did it, buts still nothing worked. Finally, i went back to the person and asked them what am i doing wrong? i pray, go to church,i do novenas often but still nothing and she told me, listen to the voice of God, it will guide you. One time almost four months ago, i was in church and the priest kept talking bout people joining a group for young adults, the first couple of sundays i ignored it, till this particular sunday, it was like he was talking to me, from the sermon to the preaching to the invite. After church, i walked out and crazy enough the, joining tent was on my path out of the church, so joined the group. To my surprise, i met like minded people, with diversity of cultures, lifestyles, and character… te group is filled with both single and married people, single parents…. i couldn’t believe things i hated doing now i do and enjoy them, one being hiking, they got me out of my comfort zone, and now almost 3 months in I’m in the leadership team. i found my prayer. it wasn’t kneeling down and praying but focusing my strengths into a different channel, church work. get to do what i love and i finally enjoy it. this prayer, showed the side of me that i never want to be, it showed me why i failed, it showed me what i was doing wrong. and i’m forever grateful, to the person who told me to listen to Gods voice. indeed it has shown me the way |

As a person who has a digital Marketing firm, one of the things we do is employee training, which basically is, training all the employees in an organization, to talk about their organisation online and in their social platforms, always selfies with branded corporate t-shirts either in the office, outside the company building, having lunch. etc… we consider it “free marketing” since if you have 300 people talking about a product or an organization, it will definitely trend. so yes they are definitely very effective as marketing tool |

That’s one very interesting Superstition but it definitely had nothing to do with God. Sudden infant death syndrome, actually exist , the baby could have died at home, in the car , anywhere, it just happened to be at the altar, which to me i would say, God took him/her immediately into his arm. Children and mainly infants under the age of 6 months are prone to Sudden infant deaths, most times the children are thought to have problems responding to stress, how they regulate their heart rate, breathing and temperature it could be anything |

I do believe, that when we die, our souls live our bodies but stay on earth as spirits. form time to time, many people have said, they have felt the aspect of a loved one who passed, brushing with them, i know that to be true. from time to time, i feel my dad’s presence, at times it almost like he is walking with me or in a room with me. in African traditions, Spirits also are known to exist, you could tell one was around either from a strong perfume smell, hear someone calling you, but no one is round, feel a chill, the door shuts or opens by itself, hair on the back of your neck, goosebumps Different people say Spirits can be good while others can be bad, i believe that is true as well, we have those that are vengeful and the good ones, those that are nice. i know the soules of the departed are the spirits we feel, the Angels we pray to watch over us and our 6th sence. |

I believe if a black cat crosses you on Friday the 13th uuuhhh your cursed and something bad will happen but that’s just me…. in kenya especially in Mombasa black cats are considered cursed or, spirits or juju. generally cats are known to carry evil spirits or used by people who practice witchcraft, we have heard ro many stories of women turning into cats or cats turning into women in random places like inside a public bus or in a shop or around the ocean, but till i see it for myself, i would rather stay away from an animal claimed to have nine lives. |
