Suffering depression can be so depressing. Do you agree? It is extremely devastating and I mean it. It will hinder us from our daily activities. It will hinder us from our social advancements. It will hinder us […]

    • More than 10 to 15 percent of the population in the world suffers from this silent killer. All of us would have had depression at one point of our live or another. But majority of people are able to get over as the symptoms last only for a few days and the episodes are far less. In the case of the percentage of the population mentioned above, they are unable to get over the feeling of being down and the same thing drags on for months at one stretch and this is when medical intervention becomes necessary.

Many do not know what they are suffering from as they have not had such an issue at any point of life till the time it strikes. It is basically a collection of problems piling up on the individual over a period of time which the person is trying to solve but in the end gives up as it is very overwhelming. Problems like medicines, not visiting the doctor on time, worries, anxieties, tensions, lack of sleep, being overburdened with work, not having time for oneself, being unable to spend time with family, family tensions, failure, emotional reasons are some of the problems which pile up and cause this problem which is difficult to overcome if it becomes serious. If it is in the in the initial stages chances of recovery are better.

      • Yeah, that’s the thing and I agree with your opinion.

Although depression may occur only one time during your life, usually people have multiple episodes of depression. During these episodes, symptoms occur most of the day, nearly every day.

As Shavkat said, If you feel depressed, make an appointment to see your doctor as soon as you can. If you’re reluctant to seek treatment, talk to a friend or loved one, a health care professional, a faith leader, or someone else you trust.

    • I agree. Suffering such thing is a serious matter. Expert’s advice is very important. Accordingly, depression is the main cause of suicide cases that is why it should not be neglected.

Yes, food has indeed many vital effects on our bodies. I recall that sometime in January this year, I started eating too many peanuts. After a few days, I started feeling effects of constipation. When I reduced the peanuts intake, my problem also subsided. So, food intake- even a fluctuation of day or two has a big impact.

What I am going to talk is something not particular or unique in an Information Technology firm. However, one needs to understand why Knowledge Transfer Sessions or Programs, which are mostly known by their […]

    • This is something we as Knowledge Management professionals work along with the help of the HR. Some of the IT companies as you mentioned have a formal KT session with their immediate mentee or even a mentor. The critical knowledge required for the project is noted in an interview format either documented or recorded as podcast. Hence all the tacit knowledge is captured before an employee exits the org.

Moving a step further, we see that we do not have to wait until employee resigns, its a continuous process of knowledge capture and knowledge leveling sessions, so that everybody is on same page and everyone in the team knows all tasks.

    • Study and learning is never ending process, see the world and you understand that reduce the risk of poverty is by education, by knowledge even medicine is knowledge, are you aware that most of the poor people are uneducated, why because no money and why no money because their family are not educated, its like a circle, mentioned here that projects and interview are also way of knowledge and for doing good interview I say we need to study, everybody in the same boat now, we have to team up to learn and teach so we all do our tasks and that do a better work and better world too. Do you think that is true or not? we need to backup each other and help each other in life and work and family and love and everything in life needs knowledge and that is needed to transfer in a way that make it right and pwoering the people that are having it. nice move in writing a risky and high need work.
