My husband’s favorite love song of all time is “Nature Boy” performed by Nat King Cole, who wrote this song when he was only 16 years old. Clearly, he was “the enchanted boy”. I have to admit it … the song is timeless!
My daughter is in the 20-30 age range. Imagine my surprise when she came home with Stevie Wonder’s album “Innervisions”, which was extremely popular when I was attending the University of Miami (1972-1976). My son download music from the Internet by artists like Tears for Fears and Queen.
Guess when it comes to good music, there is no gener…[Read more]

I actually have lots of favorite songs. I love the following old songs Love Boat by Jack Jones, My EYes Adore You, by Jack Jones and Can;t Get My Eyes Off you by Frankie Valle.
Can’t Get My Eyes Off You , makes me fall in love all over again like when we were just sweethearts, with my husband. 🙂
My daughter too is still young at 26. Though even when she was younger, she is into istening to old songs which she hears me playing in our component while she was growing up.
Imagine by John Lennon is a beautiful song indeed. So moving music.
John Lennon i think wrote that and with that , I can say that he is a very intelligent music writer…[Read more]
When it comes to my favorite Christian hymns, the list is very long. That spiritual music has been comforting me from the earliest years of my life.

My favorite songs are Christian songs, most of this song are highly inspired and that is I love listening to them.
Come to other songs, the oldies are the best as they convey messages and filled with meaningful wordings.
Most song sing today are crabs, we hear only the beat, others, you don’t know the meaning.

I’m revisiting this question because when I woke up this morning my husband was playing some music videos and it got me thinking again about “favorites”. Of course, it’s an impossible question to answer. Unless maybe you’re 5 years old. 🙂 But the longer you live, the longer your list gets. 🙂 Having thought about again, here are some more…[Read more]

My husband insists that we try to keep carrots, cabbage, and potatoes in the cupboard. 🙂

if that is reciplay is all about, yes, I had made my own recipes without any written recipes on hand.
I call it dump-all-in -a pot recipe, where I dump in chicken cuts, potatoes, carrots, veggies and sauces.
Makes a yummy stew, really!
I wanted to try Middle Eastern flavors and cooked a soup that didn’t have my common everyday ingredients. My husband and sons enjoyed it so much. I can’t remember how I cooked it! Drives me nuts!! 🙂

Yes, I also do that. I reciplay also. One time, I cooked a dish that has some pickle relish and meat and other ingredients on it and it came out delicious. However, I wasn’t able to take note of how I did it nor remembered all the ingredients I put into it, so I wasn’t able to repeat it anymore.
But I also remembered putting some slices of…[Read more]

RECIPLAY (V.) ‘ress-i-play
To cook without a recipe, adding a little bit of this, a little bit of that, sometimes producing a triumph, sometimes a mess.
Usage: Ethan was proud of his freestyling way of cooking without cookbooks, recipes, or measuring spoons—even though the results were often inedible. But sometimes his reciplaying prod…[Read more]

Indeed, eggplant is of the nightshade family like potato, that’s why it is bad for those people with arthritis.
I have just lately have known that potato is of the nightshade family.
I love potatoes and eggplant so I am glad I have no arthritis yet. So, I just eat them in moderation so as not to have arthritis.
