I’m a helping kind of person as well, but there are certain things that another person can’t help some one with.  Some times people make excuses for NOT doing some thing as well.  They really can do it, but they might use the “I’m too old” or “I can’t do this” when in actuality they can do it!!

@scheng1, I think it was good though that General Mills is saving themselves from lawsuits however, even though they don’t know it’s their flour that is causing the outbreak!

I do agree with you that the E.coli probably was in other ingredients that they use with the flour.

IMO, since she is “labelled” she IS the only one who gets in trouble.  My son had the same problem, he was labelled as ADHD and even though there were other children that were involved, he was the one who got blamed!!  I’m not saying my son is/ was perfect but he was a “follower” not a leader.

It depends.  By this I mean it depends on their parents and how they are raised.  We have our 6 and 10 year old grandchildren with us, and I am surprised at how mannerly they are.  Of course they have their sibling rivalry, but for the most part very much behaved.

I also think that some of the older generation can be rude and disrespectful as well.  I don’t think it’s just the younger generation.

How does one decide “the post should be of use to others?”  To me, I relate more to a person who is talking about their pet..because I have a pet of my own and I can relate to that person.

With social media sites popping up every where, people attack people verbally on-line.  For example, I know of someone (a friend of mine) that some one had posted on their page for the whole world to see, them cussing at my friend for NOT giving them a list of things.  IMO, it made the person that was cussing my friend out look foolish..I mean all those cursing and ranting over a list!!  The person who was ranting should have used that negative energy on finding and making her OWN list!!!!

You see humiliation and abuse all over on the internet now!!  So sad….:(

I rejoined myLot as well again and it’s nice to see a lot of familiar faces there again.  I can’t speak for others but I’ve also been paid and have always been treated with respect…if one gives respect, respect will be given in turn.  There are some people that don’t follow the rules, just like in any site, but I haven’t seen any problems and it is usually taken care of in a timely manner.

What I don’t like (IMO) is when the owner or support suddenly stops posting or NOT keeping people informed about the site.  We all know from Bubblews when Arvind and the rest of the support quit giving updates or posting, it was then that the site went down hill.  With myLot, at least the staff/owner informed us that the site was NOT paying us anymore, even though none of us writers wanted it that way.  Owners/support in any job or site need to be open, even if what they have to say is something that we may not like or want to hear.
