I try to stay away from doctors. I think some times you get sick from the patients in the waiting room while you’re waiting to see the doctor!! lol

I fall in the sedentary group, as I have arthritis in my back. All (or at least most of my fat) is in my stomach. I also had my gallbladder removed. I also use to work outside the home as well. Maybe it’s age too!! I want to get a pedometer or fitbit to see how many steps I walk a day!! |

I think the younger generation could learn a lot from us seniors, instead of putting them in nursing homes and just leaving them there. I mean after all , all the modern technology was invented before..it was just improved on. The younger generation could lean a lot from their seniors! 😉 |

Good topic!! I was going to start it, but glad you did @morgoodie!! 😉 I want to start couponing once I get another printer scanner to print off my coupons. I do use Walmart Saver’s Catcher app. Where we live a lot of times they don’t have the “big” name grocery stores, so kind of limited to some of the savings from certain stores!! |

@kaka135, sorry I didn’t respond sooner, didn’t notice I had a second page of comments!! lol The site was INTERWRK, you have to use Firefox though. It paid a few cents every day directly to PayPal. It use to anyway!! |

@morgoodie, ah bless your heart for educating and I’m sure being a support for people who suffer depression. I did have some depression after giving birth to my children as well, but I knew that they had me to depend on..so I made it through. Also when through a bout of depression when my children all moved out of the home, “empty nest” syndrome, but I managed that as well. 😉 I thought about that..the relationship to depression and anxiety. I suffer from anxiety as well. But with a change of attitude I have them under control as well. I don’t think you can ever cure depression or anxiety, you might be able to control them. |

I guess you could say I meditate in my own way. When things are getting to me, I say a prayer to God, that it’s too much to handle…take it over. I often tell myself to breathe in, breathe out…and say to myself “this will pass.” |

@slayer, yes, I too when I was younger thought about killing myself. I think in ways, that I was seeking help/attention for someone just to listen to how I was feeling. When you have people around you, that acknowledge you and realize that you DO have a purpose in life, it gets easier. When I had children I knew I had a purpose . Not saying, you should have a child..lol Just saying if you have some one/some thing that appreciates you, could be even a pet you’re life will be worthwhile. @grecy095, you work too much and take on too much responsibilty…you feel like you’re letting your family down when you’re not making money…I’m sure they appreciate every thing that you do!! 😉 You too are worthwhile!! @suny, yes, I know when I’m getting down and I do things I love to do or I spend extra time worth our dog..she uplifts me,and will always be there for me no matter what!!
I hope this post will eb for people to come and know that they’re NOT alone with they are feeling depressed and that they’ll come here for support!! |
|
@grecy095, I like rice with milk/half and half cream with raisins and cinnamon and sugar!! I haven’t had this in a long time, but it’s comforting too!! 😉 |
|
@grecy095 I don’t think one will ever NOT have money problems!! lol There are things that weigh heavy on my mind like seeing my friends struggling and there’s nothing I can do about it. I try not to dwell on my problems I out them into God’s hands and whatever will be will be. I also realize that instead of worrying I should be thankful because there are people who are worse off than I am! @morgoodie it sounds like you have a lot on your plate to deal with!! I will also be praying for you..moving is NO fun!! Just remember everything happen for a reason!!

@ruby3881, I just boil my chicken with with seasoning, like poultry seasoning, lemon pepper, etc. When it’s done, I then take the meat off the bone, add to the seasoned water and add chicken bouillon cubes, carrots and celery. Then boil it to boil the dumplings. |
|
Almost half way there 😉 I think whenever I start a new site, it’s always hard for me to get to cash out. Once I’ve made a cashout, then it’s easier. Right now, I try not to look at my balance to often..then when I hit $1.00 it will be a surprise!! 😉 |

@peachpurple here’s the recipe for dumplings that I use. Dumplings 1 cup flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon white sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon butter 1/2 cup milk Stir together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in milk to make a soft dough. Drop by tablespoon in you boiling chicken broth with your chunks of chicken (that has been boiled) Let boil for about 10 minutes, when the dumplings come to the top. |
|
@peachpurple, yes that photo I downloaded is a picture of what the dumplings look like. Some people call chicken and noodles dumplings, but those in the picture is what I consider dumplings! Yes, comfort foods for when being down is chocolate for me too or a cake or pie!! lol |
