@ruby3881  I am not sure. I took the text off and did grayscale. I tried to put on a new layer but I have not figured them out really. I clicked on new layer and then text but I still got grayscale so I just went back to color.  I will keep playing with it to figure out the layers.

@morgoodie When you set the image to show in grayscale, did you do it to just one layer or the whole file? If you want to do that kind of contrast between B&W and colour, you need to be sure to work in layers and to only apply the grayscale to one layer.

@ruby3881  I haven’t had a chance to check out Canva yet, but hopefully soon.  I may need to find an easier way to do the text. I tried to do grayscale for a picture and then put text but I could not figure out how to get the text to show a different color. Maybe I should have done something else instead of grayscale. I will figure it out though.

@morgoodie I made that one in Canva, but I opened the graphic in GIMP to use the eyedropper tool. I find I do this quite frequently now, rather than creating the whole design in GIMP. It’s just quicker to do some things in Canva

@JoDee  Great job. I loved your post. You picked some unique colors. I tried to stay away from the normal colors to find some unique shades that are among my favorites. You are right each color is important in their own light. Without primary colors we would have a very dull world to live in.
