The Ouija Board…

Have you ever used an Ouija board before? After an experience I had when I was younger, I’ll never use one again!! My parents were visiting my younger brother in the hospital as he had some health issues when he was born. It was just my tow older sisters and I who were left at home. It was a rainy, stormy night. We decided to do the Ouija board. We asked it several questions and then we asked if we would get a phone call. We had party lines back in those days, so when it was storming NO ONE ever used the phone, so we were pretty sure the answer would be NO and that “should” be the answer that the Ouija board should give. We asked the question and as the board was answering Y-E-S a bolt of lightning and the roll of thunder bombed as the phone rang!! It was our parents calling, wondering how we were doing!!
I’ve also heard of people that have had some “experiences” with Ouija boards where the spirits came out.

I have used the Ouija board on several occasions in the past. My sister and I used it quite often. We used it at our other sister’s house when her first child was about 4-5 years old. We were in the kitchen when my niece came in and she was standing by us while we were asking questions and she blurted out that someone touched her foot. We told her to go out after that. The last time I used the board was when we were in the basement of my parents house. We had reached an uncle of ours that had passed away with his son and grandson in a car accident. This accident occurred when I was 2 years old, so I did not know them. We were going along and talking when all of a sudden the board spelled out I love you and then I felt this rush of emotion and tears just started rolling down my face. I was so overwhelmed that I had to quit right then and never used it again.

When I was younger, I had the urge to try uding it. But with all the stories and movies that I have heard and seen, I am just too afraid something bad may happen. |

Using the Ouija board in a group that is just playing around, or that has a strong need for something sensational to happen, is never a good idea. I’ve seen a lot of people pranked by friends, and a lot of people who wanted to believe, deceived by someone who wanted to take advantage of their gullibility. Ouija is not really my specialty, but from what I understand it works on the principle that you are connecting with a part of your unconscious mind that knows things your conscious doesn’t attend to. So for a serious seeker it can be a tool for self-discovery, much the same as automatic writing. Some people are sensitive to entities from outside themselves, as well, and the Ouija board has often been thought of as a tool that’s easier for a non-corporeal being to use for communication. The problems with this are too many to list, but let’s just say nobody should be calling anything up unless they have been trained to put it down again. Young people especially, can have a raw talent for calling energies from outside themselves. This may be why there are so many stories about Ouija going really wrong when used by teens and preteens. It’s probably best they don’t play with Ouija boards… |
