I really don’t know any special and quality black and white movies. Even if I watch them it is not likely that I will realize the worth they present.

Please enlighten me.

@Rapid Blue I don’t watch a lot of black & white movies but there are a few which I really like. Here are a few:

  • It happened one night : Starring Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert, this movie is about a pampered and spoiled heiress who runs away from her family and is helped by a man who is actually a journalist in search of a sensational story.
  • Roman Holiday: Starring Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn, this movie is about a royal princess who has come to Rome on her own. Gregory Peck is a reporter in the film who falls in love with the princess.
  • Sound of Music: This movie is one of my favorite. It is Musical set in Austria during the World War II. It is based on the real story of Van Trappe family. A rebel nun Maria is sent to Captain Van Trappe’s home who is a widower. She is there as the governess to his seven children. Eventually the captain and Maria fall in love and get married.
