I really don’t like horror films… I don’t see the point in wanting to get scared haha… I’d much rather watch a comedy or a film that makes you think

I like horror movies a lot. I spent a lot of time collecting some of the good series. These days I am spending time collecting some psychological horror stories. I wish to collect some of the horror TV series too. But these days there are not many out there. I have collected some nice ones in 90s. But these days it’s hard to find TV series like that. I think other countries TV programs can be good too in such case. I am going to explore in that case.

Horror movies are definitely not for me! Are you kidding? The werewolf and Frankenstein used to scare me. Spooky sci-fi TV shows like “The Outer Limits” used to frighten me. Sorry. Had an overactive imagination and when my head hit the pillow to go to sleep, it was the beginning of nightmares.

cross-1010748_960_720That was as an impressionable child. When I became a teenager, decided to check and see if I had outgrown or overcome my fears. Can’t recall the name of the movie. My late sister talked me into watching it with her. It was about a vampire in the 1970s!!  That film scared me so bad, I went to sleep with a cross around my neck. Don’t laugh. True story. Not making it up. My late sister cracked up when she woke me to get ready for school and she saw the cross around my neck.  It was actually a rosary.  But rosaries had crosses.  It was the only thing I could find in our house to put around my neck.

Exorcist_ver2-1Fast forward, it’s still the 70s. Popular movie comes out and people stand lines at the theater to buy a ticket. The Exorcist” (1973). That green vomit! The girl turning her head completely around without breaking her neck! That deep-throated horrible voice of the demon! That was it! After that movie it was all over between me and horror movies. No! NO! No more scary movies!

On the plus side, “The Exorcist” had an awesome soundtrack. Particularly “Tubular Bells”.
