I know of a blogger Annie who makes a living by the royalties from her ebooks. She writes about it often on her blog. She makes about 400-500$ a month from her ebooks which is quite good. I wonder how long it took us to earn so much royalties per month from her ebooks.

Have you ever published an ebook? Have you published it for free or for a price? What was your experience like?

Honestly, I wanted to try. But then, I don’t how to publish an e-book. I am still a neophyte in online writing. It has been years that my guidebook hasn’t published yet. A soft copy of it still sleeping in my external drive and waiting to be published. Another thing, I am still looking for an illustrator and it is too expensive to find a cheaper service. Here is my question, how to publish an e-book? Are there any sites that I can check on?

So far I have not ventured in that area. I am afraid that it may not be worth the effort. With my experience of 10 years on line trying almost all revenue share sites to earn at least a paltry sum of $20 to pay my electricity bills and internet(telephone) bills and the so called revenue share sites paying peanuts and broken peanuts for our efforts(and they earn free with our content and without any effort), I am fed up with the online earning experience.

@ Shavkat You can publish an ebook on amazon. They have a detailed tutorial on how to publish an ebook on kindle. As for illustrator, you can check out fiverr where you can find economical services.

@ Rajaraman K  You are right. There are very few sites who paid according to the efforts of the writers but those sites didn’t last long. I don’t have google adsense or else I would have concentrated all my efforts towards my own sites astrokrsna and spiritualboosters.

I am trying to do this as well.  I am working for a site writing a NCLEX-PN study book.  I think it will be a regular book, but I have to write everything on the site as a power point slide.  So far I have 190 some questions. I am working my way through my textbooks.  I am not sure I answered your question but the editor of the site said I could make a living at this as a regular job.
