As I checked my points history, I found these two entries:

Coins for new forum reply Referral commission link $0.0010

Coins for new forum reply Referral commission link $0.0005

Now this is passive income at its best. This is one more reason to promote literacybase and get referrals. You will be getting commissions for the referrals’ activities as well. Isn’t this great?

$ 0.001

@swalia yes I saw this when I invited one of my friends, but she is not a very active member as she has a demanding job. Aside of that she writes something related to fiction and fanfiction, so there is not much time left.

A few other people expressed me an interest to join in but I don’t see them in here yet, probably they will wait until payment proofs start to rain.

@Rapid Blue Yes, people are apprehensive about joining this site at the moment. Much negative has been written in the forums about the low pay rates here but I am sure all this will change once some people cash out here and post their payment proofs.

@swalia/

good to know that you got paid for your referral links

I had 3 referral links registered under me.

However up to today, I didn’t see any “Coins for new forum reply Referral commission link”

Instead I had seen a few ” Approve comment from referral” which was 0.0002 cent and 0.0010

I still couldn’t figure out why I didn’t receive any commission link yet.

I know who are my my friends who had registered here, am still communicating with them.

hence, they are active here but why I didn’t receive ANYTHING??

@peachpurple That’s right, I did not see any activity although I checked I have 320+ referral views in my profile. I don’t how would that help me on this site. I thought that could be used by the site admins while upgrading members or something like that based on their sharing activities. But that sure says that I earned at least 32 cents for sharing/bringing viewers.

@swalia

1-2 cents per comment is not low,  15 cents per 300 word post on whatever is also not low, and by the way I already made a full webpage check and ownership history check about the LiteracyBase and found absolutely nothing to list this webpage as a potentially dangerous, fraudulent or non-paying.

The things I did found can be easily disregarded because they state nothing in particular.

If I couldn’t find absolutely anything then there is a big chance that a webpage is clean.
I don’t mind that a webpage is currently a few members short, because some of these members will bring spam and chaos and I prefer stability and order.
I do mind hidden ownership plus support avoids me like fire.
Well, I am used on that one but the owner does not strikes me as unreasonable, disorganized or aggressive – what I can’t say for other pages.
Also, the owner/s has no mods but manages to clean everything in time, I would say that is a good sign.
If payments go well at 10th I even may give this one a thumbs up.

@swalia That’s really a good reason! I like this kind of passive income. 10% of the referrals’ earning is very good one, especially if they published blog posts, we might even get to earn more. Though I am not good at getting referrals, I am still happy for everyone who has got referrals.

I think I will need to figure out how I can get referrals, so it might help me to make some extra money when I am away. 🙂

I have not had anyone sign up under me and I probably never will. I do not know anyone who writes or is interested in working online. I have been sharing everything to social media and have received nearly a dollar in visitor referral. So I will keep doing this and maybe that way I can get a sign up referral. However, I am not going to concentrate on that although it would be more passive income. I am happy with the way it is going right now. I just need to get some posts made so I can beef up my earnings and have more to share with others. I am glad that others are having luck with getting referrals and getting commissions from them.

@kaka135 referrals or referral visits? Because I have visits daily but only one referral.  Others are kind of in a suspended mode hehe.

@morgoodie I agree, we can earn as well with just sharing. I also send out my ref code for signups because there is a bigger chance to actually get somebody on a page.

It is good to know that they are giving Coins for referral activities too. Let us now promote it well. Such websites can make money only if they get decent traffic from search traffic and they will get traffic only via legit promotion. They had also implemented payments for social sharing.

Let more and more know about them and they will pay us better.

May 20, 2016 at 7:46 pm

@thinker I am not sure what do you mean by legit promotion, can you please explain better, or at least list instances of non-legit promotion? Thanks!

i just put my literacybase ref link in my signature of some forum and i already earn $0.004 from 4 visitor that click my link. Not bad. 🙂

I hope only valid visit will count in here, because if not it could be exploited by someone who want to earn without doing anything.

@sunil You do not earn a penny per visitor referral. Rather it’s a tenth of a penny, so that each ten visitors will earn you a cent.

The notification you should see in the history is: “Coins for referring a visitor.” It’s followed by a visitor number and an IP address. The amount credited each time is $0.0010 – one tenth of a cent.

@peachpurple Have your member referrals published any posts? One would think if they had, and if the posts earned at least a nickel, that you would receive half a penny commission or better for each one.

I know who some of my referrals are. One has so far not been active on the site, and has only added a few friends. I am guessing she’s busy elsewhere at the moment and hasn’t had time to get settled in yet. Another has no activity except for a few “hello” messages and one really brief comment in response to a forum post. There are two others, but one I cannot find on the site right now, and I can’t remember who the fourth was at the moment.

I know I did receive the referral bonus for two of the four new users, but I believe it is missing for the first two. I’m not sure if it’s because the staff added that bonus when they saw many of the referred users weren’t earning commissions. Perhaps they wanted to encourage us?

If we wanted to test the commissions, it would be good to ask the users who referred very active members. I signed up under @sandyks, for example. She should be receiving some decent commissions, if the 10% is being rewarded for forum participation and posts.

@Ruby3881 I know that so I said 32 cents for 320 visitors, now the count has gone past 400 so it should be 40 cents now. 🙂

@rapidblue It’s good to see your opinion of the site has improved! This is why I always try to withhold judgment in the beginning. Some things may make us uncomfortable – and certainly we all like to see more transparency about certain things like the identity of a site owner. But ultimately as long as the site is running smoothly and paying for user contributions, most of us will be happy with that.

We have a couple more weeks before we’ll see how many will cash out by month’s end, and how many will be paid. Let’s hope the numbers are good, on both counts!
