Parole is the provisional release of a prisoner from imprisonment before full sentence has been served. Parole usually is granted for good behavior on the condition that the parolee regularly report to a supervising officer for a specified period. It is an alternative to imprisonment, rewarding offenders for complying with their sentence plan and participating in rehabilitation programs and combating recidivism by ensuring the gradual re-integration of offenders. If the parolee violates his parole condition he could be arrested and imprisoned to serve his full sentence in the prison.

Parole service is granted to less committed offences though this depend with state jurisdiction,it  looks more of a privilege rather than a statutory right of a  prisoner, and is mostly successful implemented in most developed countries compared to less developed countries, the reasons behind being the strong security system to most developed countries.
