Alternative dispute resolution is simply refer as all modes of dispute settlement or resolution other than the traditional disputes settlement though courts of law. The Alternative dispute resolution also called in certain circles is an appropriate dispute resolution. The Alternative dispute resolution mainly has forms which are common like :-Negotiation, mediation, reconciliation and arbitration .But in countries Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) has two modes method of resolving disputes outside of the judicial mechanisms and informal methods attached to or pendant to official judicial mechanisms.

The Alternative dispute resolution is manifested in two categories which are offline and online whereas the former category is the most common . The offline Alternative dispute resolution is traditionally conducted under paper- based environment and online Alternative uses the internet as a medium of facilitating dispute resolution.

Alternative disputes resolution has been introduced to most countries to supersede altogether the traditional means of resolving disputes by means of the court litigation.
