A very important person in the history of India. Chanakya aka Vishnu Gupta was a very intelligent and shrewd political strategist of his times who is remembered till date. Based on his theory the foundations of the Mauryan Empire were build brick by brick. He had a horde of detractors who wanted to destroy and kill him. Because of his political acumen and strategy he was able to defeat most to the plots that were hatched to eliminate him. But ultimately he succumbed to one such attempt by his detractors.  He served and provided direction to two generations of the Mauryan empire as chief adviser.

He is also famous for his book or treatise the ‘Arthashastra’  which dealt which a lot of topics related to economics, politics, administration and strategy to name a few highlights, as it basically taught the student how to establish and run great empires and be successful in life. But one must remember that there should also be someone having the brains of Chanakya which is rare and difficult to find.  But still even today people dealing with the above subjects can learn many things and implement it.

This Indian Politician was born in 350 B C. Here are three of the famous quotations of this master political strategist.

1) Education is the best friend and an educated person is respected everywhere. Education  even beats the beauty and youth.

2) Never make friendships above or below your status. Such friendships will never give you any happiness.

3) Those base men who speak of the secret fault of others, destroy themselves like the serpent in the ant hills.
