It is the examination of one’s own conscious thoughts and feelings. It relies exclusively on observation of one’s mental state, while in a spiritual context it may refer to the examination of one’s soul. It is very essential for everyone to self introspect. It  is closely related to human self-reflection. It is searching inwards to understand oneself better. It  involves examining one’s own thoughts and analyzing the same for improvement. It is the desire to be good look our self in the mirror of the mind and take actions which help us improve ourselves in the process. It creates self-awareness affects the way we view ourselves.

Here is a quote by on this particular subject  Aristotle: ‘Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.’  In the midst of our daily life we come across situations where we feel and think whatever we do or take a step forward it always backfires on us. This is a right time to take a step back sit and self introspect as to where things are not going right what is the mistake being committed and how the same can be avoided by not being repeated again. Once we get this capacity we can better our life by many notches. Pausing for sometime in such a situation is always beneficial and brings positive results most of the times. Humans have this capacity compared to many other living things. This gift and intellect is unique to us. If we are able to hone this skill into a fine art things will look very bright as you will be in control of the situation which leads to self confidence in yourself and in your capability. Self introspection has many benefits the only thing one needs to do is start self introspecting to know the benefits.
