Sometimes we feel we are put in the right place and at the right time. One day I was on a lakeside for an evening walk. I heard a pup crying on the other end the lake. I ignored it at first thinking it must be pups playing around. As I started leaving after sometime,  something forced me in my mind to go there and check out what was happening as the sound of distress grew louder with more yelping.

When I went around the lake and reached the nearby fields it was dusk by then. I heard the distress cries of a pup somewhere in middle of the field clearly. I slowly walked on the narrow path between the crops and found a pup  entangled badly in a fishing net  which was being used as a fence around a crop as the net was damaged.

I figured out the situation and  it took a few moments for me to free him as I cut the net. I could get him back to his family a few minutes from that place. They were so excited to see him after a longtime, as he had gone missing a few days ago.

This incident taught me one lesson if you hear something is going wrong or feel if someone is in distress. Make sure you go and check out what is happening before moving out of the area without caring as it may be a matter of life and death.

If there’s a will in us  to do something good, we will find we are  always  placed in the right place at the right moment. I was a happy and relieved man when I returned to my home. I felt happy that I had the patience and felt it worth checking and it did pay off.

Remember it is better to be safe than to be sorry and regret latter which will not be of any use. Hope readers find this incident inspirational as this incident shows life is the best teacher isn’t  it?

They say follow your instincts. Yes it is good to do that, but sometimes it could be a good thing and at times it could be a bad thing. So as you follow your instincts you also listen to your intuition it could be telling you something different.
Anyway to your post its a good thing that you went out of your to rescue the little pup. In my country such situations are used to rob people and the process innocent lives are lost. So when you think of rescuing something or someone you must be very careful, because it could be a tactic that robbers are using as bait. Its usually very tricky because you dont know if it is genuine or not. For me i avoid places where i am bound to be mugged or something especially when am alone. I am always very cautious because anything can happen anywhere. Given the kind of scenarios that i see or come across, am better of staying away and not try to be “the good samaritan that was killed.” If i come across such a situation the best thing is to alert anyone aroynd there that there is something wrong then walk away.
That way i wont feel guilty if i walk away, at least i have told someone. As for you it was a good thing that you rescued the pup.

A valuable advice from your end. I understand and appreciate the situation which you are talking about as crooks are finding new methods to mug the innocent and use methods by which we will be totally convinced about the situation and end up being the loser. Here it was a known territory and so were some of the people over there at a distance. But since they were fields the area was quite big. I appreciate your concern once again. I think the most important thing in this is that it was predestined that the pup was going to be rescued because may be of its good Karma. Best wishes and regards.
