Life: Is A Boon – Have We Turned It Into A Living Hell?

Nature keeps showing us some of the best scenes like a huge mountain range, a tree swaying to the wind, a river flowing, a grassy patch of land, a place full of lush greenery, a sight of birds flying free and happily up in the sky and singing, a sight of snowfall and scenic mountains in the back drop with pine trees towering high above, a scenery of the sun rising or a setting sun full of red and painting the sky with color of red and orange.
A afternoon of bright light or a sky full of clouds or of different shapes and sizes resembling different characters like art, rain falling up from the sky swaying with the wind and coming crashing down to the earth which is eager to receive it and absorb it for nature to grow and be fed by mother earth, different trees in the garden or on a road when we are out for work on the way, lakes or ponds which have placid water and aqua plants with reflection of the background in the water making it even more beautiful.
With birds trying to catch fish and swimming and enjoying the water by floating in the lake, some taking off and some new ones touching down with a splash on the surface of water, a sight of different birds like crows, cuckoos, doves, kites, eagles, babblers, bul buls, mynahs, humming birds, parakeets, lovebirds, kingfishers, ducks, swans, cranes, parrots and many many more birds.
It can be a different panoramic view from atop a hill from where we can have an eagles view of the world down there and look at the busy streets with different vehicles streaming and rushing on both sides of the road with wheels racing and trying to reach their respective destinations at breakneck speed, with many footsteps marching both sides of the roads at a fast pace to reach their places or work, school, home, offices, shopping centers, cinema halls, railway stations and bus stands.
A world which seems busy, but full of restless souls just getting up, getting ready, rushing through the breakfast, pacing to work, multitasking in the office, delaying ones lunch due to work, leaving late from the office in the night due to work and rushing back to home, getting ready, having a fast dinner, watching television or sitting in front of the laptop with pending office work ending up working for late hours, getting less sleep only to wake up and see its already a new day only to repeat the whole event again and again daily as a vicious cycle.
Dear readers, I would only like to ask all of you, if we try to follow the second part of the article in a nonstop fashion and ruin our lives and relationships with family and friends and give no time to ourselves, is it a healthy trend and are we being a proper role model for our children by having such a life style, than enjoying life amongst the beautiful things nature has given us, as stated in the first part of the article?
As the saying “All work and no play makes jack a dull boy”, are we ending up being “the Jack” here and missing the good things of life which is our right to enjoy and which nature has granted us as a boon without we ever asking for it? Are we taking the boon which we received for granted and not respecting the good things in life? Request you to just take a step back and think about it and the consequences of such actions by us on our health and relations in the long run. Think about it. This is food for thought.

Nice. Nature has kept many gifts for us only to enjoy. It has provided lakes, green trees, rain, placid water in ponds, blue skies, birds flying free, fog, mist, rain, sun, moonlight, everything is meant for us to enjoy. Modern man in his eagerness for a living making his own life more fast and unable to concentrate on things of nature meant for him to enjoy. What all he does and is doing is running for joy, searching for peace, weeping for tranquility, which are all in the nature itself around him. No observation. No patience. No time. Life for him is a dull episode without any joy or pleasure moments. We should accept that it is only he who is responsible for his loss. He made everything for his pleasure and happiness but has become so busy that he went on keeping himself busy without realizing that they are all meant for him only and in life there is no specific time meant for enjoying the things leisurely. One has to go on enjoying the things as and when one gets time. It is a continuous process.

Well said. I totally agree with your thoughts on the above topic. I think the seeds for this thought started with invention of money and the dying of barter system. Situations change and times change so people found out in difficult times they are having shortage of cash for their needs and some other were greedy and wanted to hoard more money just as a habit. Others observed this and also following that person like a flock of sheep without any thought. So started this cycle and inflation and population boom and the industrial development model which is not sustainable also added to that. All these and many more reasons contributed to the present situation in humans. |

Indeed, we are after so many things that we are failing to appreciate the goodness around us. However, things are becoming quite tough for all of us in many ways and general trust and humane attitude are going down. |

Agree sometimes even I feel, so but being an optimist hope for the best. |
