Remembered this article today as this is what gave me some relief from the cough and fever which I have been having since the past few days as a result of the change in weather. As we are shifting from winter to summer. Not only me many of the students whom I teach also are having fever and many also are having exams as they have to clear it and go to the next class. I prepared a dish a brew called rasam which I had with rice in which finely chopped ginger and garlic with coriander leaves and tomato are put with tamarind boiled and its water added small amounts of chilli power, salt, turmeric and rasam powder are added too with water and all are boiled to prepare rasam seasoning is done with dals, black pepper, jeera, hing, garlic etc.

This is very light on the stomach and even if one does not feel hungry can have it with rice. It is filling and at the same time is light on the stomach. Oil is to be limited in use when having fever and cold and so is curd. One can have lassi if required. One can also put turmeric in milk which is hot and have it. It helps one from providing relief from cough. Today I am feeling a bit better and hence thought of sharing the thoughts with readers. I also remembered this article and shared it in the comments section here. Hope it is useful.
