Hyderabad is one of the important cities of India. It is a city which was built by Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah and is more than 400 years old. It is one of the metro cities of India and a IT Hub. Here are some facts about Hyderabad.

1) Operation Polo was conducted by Indian Government to free Hyderabad from the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad Mir Osman Ali Khan and it was thus integrated into Indian Union.

2) Hyderabad has now a special division called Cyberabad which consists of all the IT industries, Software technology parks, hardware manufactures and other Information Technology Enabled Service Providers.

3) The Hussain Sagar divides the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The latest addition to this is the Cyberabad zone which is a large area.

4) Indira Park and Rama Krishna Mission are located in the lower tank bund near Hussain Sagar. Indira Park was earlier a forest area and it provides the city the much required lung space.

5) Lal Bahadur Stadium or LB Stadium is constructed on the Fatheh Maidan or the Ground of victory. When the Mughals lead by Aurangazeb laid siege to Golconda Fort for around two months the Mughal army was stationed here and the Mughals achieved victory hence the name Fateh Maidan.

6) Sanjeevaiah Park was one more forest which was turned into a park it abutts the Hussain Sagar or the Tankbund. It is a huge park with acres of land and it also has one of the biggest and largest size of Indian Flag hoisted there.

7) There is a big rose garden near the historic State Legislative Assembly the seat of political power in Telangana. Adjacent to it is the State Legislative Council which again is historic followed by the State Science and Archaelogical Museum followed by the Jawahar Bal Bhavan. All these structures are very huge and belong to the Nizam Era.

8) Next to the above structures  is the Nampally Railway Station.  Hyderabad also has two more railway stations The Secunderabad Railway Station and the Kacheguda Railway station. The last one is also historic and was build during the Nizam Era.

9) Osmania University, Nizams college, Mahaboob college and University of Hyderabad and Central University are some of the famous colleges and universities in Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

10) The TISS( Tata Institute of Social Sciences), ISB(International School of Business) and the IIT Hyderabad(Indian Institute of Technology), Gandhi Medical College and its hospital, the Osmania Medical College and its hospital are some of the few among the many  famous institutions of Hyderabad.

That is a whole lot of interesting description about Hyderabad. Services industry in Hyderabad flourished a lot under Chandrababu Naidu who will now hopefully prove good as the Chief Minister of the Andhra Pradesh state.

One more interesting fact about Hyderabad and Telangana State is that the power cuts which used to be for around four to six hours per day in the city and six to twelve hours a day in the rural areas and load shedding in the industrial belt has stopped. Telangana has not built upon the model it received and is now the top two fastest developing states in India this year 2017.

The amount of land available for business is very high in Telangana. Many new industrial belts have sprouted between Secunderabad and Warangal national highway and between Ameerpet and Patancheru. The districts have also been reconstituted and hence services and accessability to  different services has increased and can reach the common man easily.

New Mega power and industrial projects are coming in Ranga Reddy district, Medak district, and Nalgonda district to name a few. After 2018 Telangana will become a surplus power state too. Lots of interesting developments are taking place will have to wait and watch how it unfolds.
