This is one more variety of dish which is cooked using raw mango as the main ingredient. Try it out whenever you happen to get mangoes in the market and enjoy with family members.

INGREDIENTS

1 raw mango( peeled and julienned or shredded)

1 small carrot(julienned or shredded)

2 shallots or onion (thin sliced)

10 to 12 cherry tomatoes

2 red chillies

½ inch piece of ginger

25 gm jaggery or or honey

1 tbsp soya sauce

1 coriander root (cleaned)

25 gm crushed peanuts

METHOD

 

Wash and peel the mango. Cut into thin shreds. In a mortar and pestle, grind together the red chilli, ginger, jaggery,  soya sauce and coriander root, till you have a saucy texture. In a mixing bowl, add the mango, carrots, shallot and cherry tomatoes. Add the dressing and toss well. Top with crushed, roasted peanuts. Serve with an Asian style entrée.

The nutritional value of mango is well known and already well stated in my earlier articles. Mangoes have a high content of vitamin C  and sugar levels. They already possess some amount of self preservative character. There Are more than 400  varieties of mangoes available. You can add one more dish provided in your recipe booklet. Happy cooking.

Good, I like your post on the mango. I have read so may article on the health benefits of eating mango and its many benefit on human being. In fact I have brother who even love to eat the unripe back of mango. He said that by eating back of unripe mango will not allow any fever to come near your body, in fact, he do call it “fiver Killer”.

I am still looking for people who will do more research on the benefit of eating the raw back of back of the unripe mango.  Is dangerous for the body or benefit for the body.

But he said that  such a mango must be a mature mangoes do oe

Mango is a very popular tree in the south western part of Nigeria. It’s produce it fruits seasonally. in fact majority of Nigerian like the fruit call “mango”. Even some people do eat the mango without knowing what its does for the body.

People are eating  or licking mangoes because people are eating it. Know body even don’t what it mean to eating this beautiful fruits is good for  the  body.

Green mango is totally felt like in seventh heaven while munching it with fish sauce. I think this kind of recipe from Thai is so delicious. Thank you for sharing the magic ingredients. My mother would love to try it.

Happy to get some more information about the benefits of the mango and thanks for the same. One more information is that a ripe mango fruit should not be over eaten in summer as it causes heat to the body. As you said research needs to be done to know the full benefits of this fruit and its benefits for the health. It is also a good business venture in villages as you need a small space and the tree grows easily once it survives the initial stages it is a good business proposition for the development of the girl child as they can enter this trade.

Good to know that you like tasting and consuming this king of fruits. I think once your mother prepares it from fresh mangoes you will love to taste it and feel the tangy taste. I have given many other dishes which can be made with mango in the earlier this is one more in those series. Thanks for the reply and feedback.
