Life for all humans has become very complex since the time of birth. Fortunately or unfortunately it is a mad rush for that elusive success which is in very less quantity but the number of people aspiring to reach the number one spot or the pinnacle of glory many. Since childhood in many countries especially developing countries children are taught you should always be first in  the class or told you should always achieve A+ grades in school studies. If you participate in sports or any extra curricular activity you should always be the first among many. What it means is telling a child whatever you do should always be A1 quality or super successful venture in whichever field. This is nothing but building up pressure on children’s tender minds.

If this is not achieved by any child they are immediately rebuked telling they are useless as despite providing all the facilities like good food, shelter, education, sports, parties, additional tuition and many other such facilities they  are always lagging. What is the purpose of investing so much of money in them when they are not capable of proving their worth and be the rising star to reach the pinnacle which the parents are aspiring him or her to achieve. There are also comparisons drawn with children who have done well in what they are supposed to do with this particular child. Parents do not seem to have a balanced  and objective view. The go all over the town if their child comes first thus building pressure on him for the next text or exam.

Such a thing has a very negative effect on the child’s self esteem. It will register in the child’s mind that he is a good for nothing fellow if he is unable to achieve what the parents and teachers expect of him or her which they are doing for his or her good and this builds undue pressure on the child to perform a task whether it is possible or not. Some times it leads to success and at other times it is a failure that is how life is. This concept which is a natural phenomena gets altered in the child’s mind due to elders behavior and the child  starts thinking he or she has to achieve the results which the parents or elders want by hook or crook.

He will already be observing many students indulging in cheating or copying or other such negative and deviant behavior among other children in his class and see them succeeding. He also starts feeling how he achieves the goal is not important, whether he has achieved it or not is the only important thing which elders will judge him by. Getting bad behavior during childhood is easy for any child when even adults fall prey to bad behavior what to tell of a small child. Why this is because even adults as young children at heart who are still growing. The correct solution would be this has to be corrected immediately at the particular moment as and when it is noticed.

Thus he starts cheating and copying in the exams to get that top rank. He tries to cheat by seeing the notebook when the teacher is attending other students and gives correct answers for which he gets claps which will encourage his confidence to indulge in more copying. He succeeds in mastering the art even in the home. This slowly forms into a habit and then is very difficult to let it go by the child as that is his second nature and during childhood such mistakes are often forgiven by teachers and parents who give the excuse the child is young and will learn soon by growing out of it on his own. There is no counselling which is given in a regular way. The biggest problem is that this habit of cheating is tolerated and not strictly punished.

A few years later when the child reaches class 7 or 8 generally portion tends to be more and he finds it difficult to cope up and get marks by cheating or copying then he experiments and learns new techniques and groups are formed and these children help each other in mass copying and cheating in the exams. This habit carries well till graduation or masters too. Even in the exams for purpose of promotion conducted by the offices where these children who have grown up and landed in a job, even there the same behavior of cheating and copying either individually or on a mass scale continues. All this has its foundation in faulty parenting by parents, teachers, other elders and the society as a whole.

To stop this problem and nip it in the bud. It has to be told to the child that he will be accepted whatever marks he gets provided he tries sincerely without cheating, he should be encouraged to express the difficulty or problems which he is facing for the same to be corrected. If the parent or the teacher or elders find that the child is going on a wrong path then the same must be corrected immediately by providing counselling and also explaining why such a behavior is not good and also being stern at the same time but they should not be spanked or threatened which may prove detrimental and will lead to other psychological problems which are totally unforeseen and avoidable.

Child should always feel that if he tries well he is appreciated and if he falters he should be told of the situation and the right choices he has to make. The decision has to be his and he should be told to stick by it. He should be told he is responsible for his actions. Parents should also teach the child the right decision making during childhood as this prevents many problems for the child and saves him and others of a lot of time and energy which they otherwise would be spending correcting such behavior the rest of their lives.

Child psychology is a very important subject and parents should know and understand their child and provide him the right physical, emotional and social support to prevent the problem of cheating by nipping it in the bud doing childhood by creating awareness among children. They should spend adequate time with children to know and understand what they are upto. Schools can also provide incentives to children who are on the right path and do not indulge in cheating. Dear readers hope this information is useful to you and your family members and will help children too.

Exams are give by examinors with the aim of assessing to know or find Out if one can do well in the next level or is worth a pass out.

Yah, its good but to me, I always say examination is not the best way of judging somebody. So, there is no problem with cheating exams.

If I can ask you a question, Does it mean that those who fail exams know nothing? Let some body convince me. I have seen even in Universities and higher institutions of learning. People/students hire others to do for them the peppers. later They get the certificates, you even find them in big offices and they are doing well.

Why do examinors don’t assess people accordinging to their talents? if ones’ talent is eating then examine him/her about food. If the talent is digging then ask him about the hoe and other related tools. There, people will be doing well. Its said that one who invented a bulb was the most stupid person in school. But upto today his name is on record.

Thanks for sharing the information. Even I am trying to tell the same thing do not put pressure on children to score marks or grades as they alone are not the be all and end all of life but the same time it is not right on ones part to ask somebody else to do his work for him when he is supposed to do the course. If someone has chosen a course it is out of his free will especially when one grows up. Then one has to own up responsibility and do a good job of it on his on merit and not depend on others.

About the bulb and even Albert Einstein or even Srinivasan Ramanujam the famous mathematician or Bill Gates or many such personalities many of them have not had formal education or have faced difficulty going through the normal studies which children routinely go through. But they are prodigies and how many people can we find who are as unique as them not many. Many of the children are the normal ones who pass out and go for a job in some company or the other.

Before going there if these children learn and equip themselves with the knowledge for which their parents have paid the school fee and take advantage of the education it will be a bonus for such children to get scholarships for higher studies or even education free of cost if they are brilliant. But if people are wanting to cheat or to not study the way it is supposed to be done as asked by the education authorities in their countries it is better they do not go for former schooling and work outside somewhere and study online that would be saving the time and earning money and wealth of experience too. Appreciate your participation in discussing the above topic.
