I’m not sure where you live but I have heard if you plant peppermint around the area you are trying to keep free from spiders. You can also take a spray bottle and add some peppermint oil to it along with some water and spray the area you are having to deal with. You should also make sure the grass is cut short and there is no overhanging bushes nearby. I have bushes in front of my porch so it’s hard to keep the spiders away. I really try not to get rid of them since they do eat bugs and mosquitos.

I could relate on this situation when I was still working as a custodian of a big Church in our country. Every day I had to report to the Church to inspect the building, to keep it clean and everything is in order. As a part of my duty to maintain the Church inside and outside its perimeter, I had to remove those things that posed as eye sore. And of these things, the pestering of spider’s presence every morning as I could spot it on the ceiling. I took a broom, attached a long pole to reach and remove the cobwebs where the spiders calmly housed.

I did it every morning and every other day I saw it again over and over again. I did the same thing for a day, for a week and the same irritating and annoying spidey I could see on the ceiling of their webs. I thought I would have to treat them with a ray of pesticide. But my conscience told me not to do it for they have the right to live just like us. I armed again myself of the long pole with a broom attached to it. I gently removed them and brought them outside. Put them on one of the plants around the ground of the building. And on the next day, I couldn’t find them anymore.

The lesson I learned: Don’t move the cobweb. Take the spider away and place it to a safe place outside the house. Therefore, what’s the application to our lives?

Fortunately, I no longer find spiders at home for many years now. When I was a child I always saw spiders, and I was so afraid to see them .When I became big, I saw some, but then we keep our home clean using Zonrox , other times spray Quick . If I see spider this time, I surely kill it. I do not like to see its appearance especially if it is black spider. I think spiders eat dust and other insects.

There are also spiders not black and not harmful, but they look so disgusting. What I notice on them is, they are shy for whenever they see humans, they run away ,LOL.

My advise to you lady is spray every evening in spots you think they are hiding.

Oh…a very nice and useful information I got soon after joining this group. Thanks for the suggestion. There are many spiders in my house. I have been thinking of removing them all. I just brought a broom and postponed my activity for tomorrow as today happens to be Friday. Do you know, we do not do such things on Fridays and Tuesdays in India. I have to purchase a long stick yet. So, tomorrow I will be going to the market to bring one and attend to this activity.

So what I have to do is to remove the spider but not the cobwebs.
