There are many ways to donate to the poor.

Poor refers to orphanage homes, old folks homes and many more.

There are beggars on the streets, these are poor people too.

Which method do you donate to the poor?

A) donate through paypal/payoneer/ credit cards

B) donate cash, spare change to the beggars

C) donate by cheques , issue cheques and send to the individual homes

D) donate old clothes, toys, 2nd hand electrical appliances to the homes

E) donate food to the homes

F) do not donate, they don’t deserve my donations

Fist you can start by donating the old clothing and toys you have that you no longer need nothing more will bring joy to little children’s faces.

Also you can donate food items and basically anything edible that you have no use for or have a lot off. We need to restore the humanity and it starts with the guy in the mirror.

@peachpurple  I donate old clothes and toys to the poor. I give cash donations only to the NGO I am associated with because I know that the money will be put into good use.

@shaloo walia and @peachpurple,I usually donate to victims of floods. I give clothes, t-shirts, all new usually 30 pieces, plus canned goods, noddles, sacks of rice. Some of my friends abroad also helped the needy thru me and their close relatives. It is better to give than to receive. I never give cash. I only give cash to the beggars.

There are many different ways to donate to the poor here in the United States but one must be careful who they donate to because some places actually will scam you.

I always donated used clothing that can not be worn any long. I have donated food to food banks and to the Boys Scouts when they have their drive. I have helped serve food at a place that feeds the homeless and the poor of the community. During Christmas, I participate in the “Angel Tree”. What this means I will pick an Angel from a tree and buy that child Christmas presents.

I have given money and food to people on the street. I help animal shelters by providing dog/cat food when I am able to. (animals are poor and need help)

I can also help by donating blood at least once a year. Since I am O negative the blood center is always seeking donations.

If you want to donate something for the poor, you have to look for the foundation which takes care of them. Then it is safe for your donation to be given to the poor. Or you may donate it to the Red Cross which doesn’t take care only for the needy but also to those who suffered from calamities.
