Took mom to hospital
Author | Posts |
My mom hasn’t been feeling well. She’s been complaining about her abdomen hurting her. Then she stopped eat and developed a cough. She saw her doctor and told him about the pain. He didn’t do anything about it. I guess he just wrote it off as gas. So here it is a week later and she is still not able to eat. I talked to her caregiver that comes and gives me a hand every-so-often to give me a break and we both decided to take her to the hospital. Good thing the hospital is just right down the street. She had plenty of tests ran to see what was wrong. Her blood work came back and her white blood count was high. This indicates there is an infection somewhere in the body. She also had an x-ray done on her abdomen region. This includes the lungs. It came back that she had pneumonia in her right lower lobe. They started her on two antibiotics while in the hospital that was administered by IV. She only had to stay maybe two hours there. They sent her home with an antibiotic to take at home. I was informed to call her doctor to make a follow-up with him so he can have her retested to see if her lungs have cleared up. I will have to do that today when they open. Now if only I can get her to eat.

@evilelf, Hi friend? So sorry to know about the health issues of your mom. How is she this time? I hope she gets well soon so you could also relax. It is hard to deal someone in a family get sick. We are so much affected with their feeling. We cannot afford to see them struggling in an unknown cause of pain. I hope that she gets well soon. I saw your mom in your previous discussion. She seems having some body pain. You need some rest friend. Your mom will be in my prayers so she could be in her good health again. Health is wealth and if there is some sickness we feel in our body like what I am feeling now, so bad. How are you now and your mom? |

cely Sorry I haven’t been around. I’ve been busy trying to take care of mom. She is now back to eating and feeling better than before. Her doctor took her off one of her diabetes medication. It seems one of the side effects from the medicine is stomach pains (abdominal) and that was our biggest concern. She has to go back and get a chest x-ray to make sure her lungs have finally cleared of pneumonia. So I am happy. I really hope she doesn’t get sick like this again for a very long time. |

@evilelf, Hi friend? Sorry for the late reply of this message. I only visit here every evening and when I arrived your topic may some around moved to the next level. I tried to open this group this evening and learned about some concerns of your mom I am glad your mom has the appetite to eat now, meaning she no longer suffers pain in some areas of her body. Too bad, she is sick with diabetes. This sickness is a culprit to humans. Others use herbal to cure diabetes. Like my co teacher she collapsed in her class only to know her blood sugar so low and diagnosed with diabetes. She applied herbal medication. I do not know about her updates, for if she has trusted that herbal medicine as potential cure, then I will share it to you here. I think that herbal originates from mango leaves. I just want to clarify this. I think I shared it here last week hehehehe, I forgot the procedure.I better ask my friend first about her observation, before the final recommendation to you. |
