Migraines

I was diagnosed with migraines as a teenager. Over the years they just seem to get worse and worse. Nothing seemed to help. Some days my migraines will last up to three to four days at a time. I am miserable those days. It has gotten to the point where I can no longer work outside of my home. The last time I worked I ended up getting sick at work with a huge migraine. Since I worked at a restaurant, the smell made it worse. My manager was cruel to me and said nothing was wrong with me. He changed his mind after he had to clean the bathroom. Lately, I have been getting this sharp stabbing pains in my temples or close to my eyes. I was told these type of headaches are called “ice pick” headaches. It is very annoying and painful at the same time. I have a doctor’s appointment coming up soon. Hopefully this new doctor can help me with this horrible migraines.

I was placed on vitamin b12 injections and I haven’t had a migraine yet. I’m not sure if being low on vitamin b12 had anything to do with it or not. But I’m sleepy all the time. Someone told me that it is my bodies way of catching up on lost sleep since I also have sleep problems (insomnia). I am hoping to gain more energy soon. |

@evilelf, sorry dear to hear about your migraine. I know it is not an easy sickness for I had a co-worker before who kept on complaining about her headache due to migraine.I also have a neighbor who had asthma and migraine complication since teenager up to the time she graduated her course. The more her sickness got worse when she had found a better job.One day she applied on line and was hired as an office worker in Saipan. She is there working for almost 20 years and never had she attacked with all her sicknesses migraine and asthma. She was wondering and was not anymore worrying about her health. They have 2 children and once in every three years they visit their family. The doctor told her that there are sicknesses that are psychological. I cannot agree or disagree. What can you say about this?Thank you dear. I pray God to heal you.God heals and hears even in our very silent prayer. |

cely It is possible to have an illness that is psychological and there are some that are real and is hard to explain. I know at one point in time doctors used to think Fibromyalgia was one of those psychological illnesses. It’s a disease that no one knows why it occurs. As for migraines, how can anyone claim it to be psychological when it is felt in the head and most of the time feels like someone is squeezing my brains out? It is very painful and will make you want to ball up in a fetus position. Some can’t stand certain smells or have it too bright or sound too loud. I have nausea with mine so it is hard to be around food when experiencing a migraine. I have four kids but it seems mine has gotten worse over time. I know stress will cause it at times. Everyone is different. |
