Choosing A Surgeon
Author | Posts |
In the next two weeks I’m going to be interviewing two surgeons for when I finally decide to have my wisdom teeth taken out sometime in the future. Right now the first one I’m interviewing has the lead in my head, as she’s a female and I always tend to do better with female doctors. The male doctor though is the best in our city at oral surgery. I’m trying to think of good questions to ask them and would love you guys to add on to my list.
What are some other things I should ask when I meet each surgeon? Thanks guys!

I haven’t thought about this. I normally ask the doctors what will be the procedure and how they will do it. Then, all the questions will be followed. It is also a good thing that you should ask these questions. Since it is a major operation that will be done by a surgeon. You can also ask, how long is the recovery stage or the healing process of this procedure. |

@lola Unless there are complications I suppose any dentist could do that job for you without any difficulty. |

how about what are the side effects of the medications and what you shouldn’t eat or drink. When you are in pain, should you take pain killers? Under what condition you have to seek the doctor’s help? How much it cost? Any after treatments? |

@lola ,The Dentist will not ask, but will just let you open your mouth and check your problematic tooth. This is based on my experienced , before my wisdom tooth was extracted, I was told to take medicine good for 3 days and in the 3rd day I went to the clinic and my wisdom tooth was so easy to pull. I never experienced pain. It just bled , but no pain. |

Okay I have never done any kind of surgery on my teeth, and I have no idea what they do or how it is performed, but one thing I know is that before any kind of surgery be it minor or major should have clear information. The doctor should be able to give you all the information you need to know before and guide you through any procedure that should be done. But again you should ask all kinds of questions that you think could be a bother. That’s all I can say. |

We have to avoid too much sweets eatables for they ruin our teeth. I see many of my friends and even me having problems of teeth. It is not easy to feel the ache of a tooth. I better have flu than tooth ache that could almost ruin our whole evening sleep. We feel the discomfort when our tooth is aching. Also, having a tooth decay or problem can cause a bad breath. it is advisable to gurgle 3 times a day to avoid bad breath due to sore gums. The best way is to refrain eating too sugary foods to avoid tooth decay. |
