I am a fan of local food.

Basically, I do home cook meal 6 days a week, one off day where my family dine outside.

I do use the common ingredients in my daily cooking but there are certain ingredients that I don’t use in my recipes, simply because I dislike them !

  1. liver ( pig/ chicken/cow / goat )
  2. avocado – cannot stand the buttery , oily taste
  3. chicken feet – yuck!
  4. eels- very slimy!
  5. snails ( escargot) – Eww!

I have never ate  any of those ingredients / food in my life.

 

Although  some people love the taste of these ingredients/food, maybe they can use the right seasoning or cooking method to produce lovely recipes, I simply cannot shove them into my mouth!

I have to agree with the list you have above but I believe my list would be much longer. There are so many things that I will not eat for whatever reasons. I will not eat onions but  I will cook with it. I hate beans. All beans. But I will cook it for others in the house. I don’t eat pork. I don’t eat bacon. I know. I’m a bad American.

Since most of the time it’s just me and my mom at home, I tend to cook only a few times a week. Reason being I cook too much and we always have leftovers. This helps me out on days when I am suffering from migraines.
