@peachpurple, ginger is an anti-cancer veggie, it is necessary of us to include this in our daily foods. Ginger can also cure stomach ache, cough, what to do is boil it and after cooling off drink it.Cough will disappear after 2-3days. Another, ginger can cure or control the growth of goiter. What to do is clean the ginger’s body, then let it dry use a cloth in drying by wiping, then remove its skin by using a spoon, then wash again thoroughly. Then let is dry by wiping it with a clean cloth. When already dry, scrape the ginger using a spoon just enough and place them on a clean cloth and have it tap at the affected part, the goiter. The patient must persevere the wild effect of the juice, fresh juice. It should be wrap around the neck over night. Why I know this because our neighbor’s goiter gone just this ginger. It is just a matter of sacrifice. |

@peachpurple I use ginger for nausea and stomach upsets. I ate tons of candied ginger when I was pregnant and had morning sickness! Ginger can help with heartburn too. Eaten in small quantities it’s very safe, but if taken medicinally it can pose a health risk to some people. If you are pregnant, take blood thinners, or have a blood clotting disorder, it’s best to consult a professional before using ginger as a medicine. |

Ginger is of great use in our household. Besides making ginger preserve where tender ginger is cooked in syrup after taking its pungency away. I do not do it but mother used to. I found this recipe on the Net http://tastykitchen.com/recipes/special-dietary-needs/homemade-ginger-preserve-recipe/
I add ginger garlic paste to several of my dishes. I also add it while preparing fresh fruit juice that I preserve. Having said that fresh ginger eaten to ward off nausea unfortunately does not agree with me |

Ginger has so many uses as far as I know. Usually, we use ginger in place of coffee. I remember my mother cut it into pieces and place it in tin pot. Put some water and boil it for several minutes. As soon as it is done, it is poured into a cup, put sugar to taste. We happily take a sip of hot ginger. We usually have been doing that early in the morning before we take our breakfast. |

I drink it when I have colds and it is helping. I learned from @ruby3881 that I can used it for bath for my fever. When I did it, it made my temperature lessen so I do it regularly. |

WOW! Excellent resource on Ginger plans. Yes, this is a wonder food. I remember my childhood days when I was asked a riddle 3 Brothers having same features, the taste is pungent and juicy. Giving death blow to many diseases, guess who are they? I never understood the question. I always liked to skip this riddle. Later on, I came to know that the answer is the trio – onion / ginger / garlic. They are not just cure for many diseases, they are instead “death blow” to them. Indeed the best medicines are made by nature first. |

Wow ginger uses are in plenty i can see that. many people don’t like the taste of ginger but the truth is it is very beneficial to our everyday living and body. when you mix ginger some garlic and lemon boil them together, and then add some honey to it to sweeten it, then you drink it to cure coughs and sore throat. it also lowers blood pressure and eases the pain of athritis. so if you need to be healthy try taking ginger in your everyday diet. |
