Today is Thanksgiving in America. Many people are preparing or have already cooked their Thanksgiving feast while others are doing away with the Thanksgiving tradition and just eating normal foods. I wanted turkey and dressing this year. I didn’t get my wish since my mom and son both wanted ham. I gave in and bought them a small ham. I managed to cook it this morning while they were still sleeping along with a few other goodies to go along with it.

Everything was ready to eat by 11am. My mom tells me it’s too early to eat and my only response was to please pass me a plate. I’m going to eat. hehe. She ended up passing me two plates one for me and one for her. I made some Velveta shells and some cream corn and we had rolls to go with the ham. For dessert, we had a few varieties of pies.

Some people from a local church stopped by and dropped off two plates for my mom since she is part of the meals on wheels program. One plate had turkey/dressing in it while the other plate had ham in it. So mom has a lot to eat later on.

I am so thankful for what we do have to eat even if we don’t have many people to celebrate with us. Now I’m ready for a nap and it’s just now 12:30pm.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

@evilelf, Happy Thanksgiving belated my friend. Sorry I have just this discussion. This celebration is famous worldwide. Americans are nice for they have one day celebration thanking God and whosoever others thanked for during this celebration. How nice if we also have it in Philippines. I never heard our government holiday to thank the Lord for the entire year’s good harvest, good life, good health, no chaos which is impossible. What is being thanked about if life’s continual existence with hopes and graces.

Happy Thanksgiving Day!! Cheers! Toasts!
