Low Fat Diet
Author | Posts |
It’s official, I have been placed on a low-fat diet by my doctor. He has also placed my on Pravastatin to help lower my cholesterol. My LDL (bad cholesterol) was too high and my HDL (good cholesterol) was too low. When I was told that I needed to go on a low-fat diet I felt lost. I’m still a little lost. I have never in my life been put on any diet and I have never gone on a diet on my own. I just never saw a reason for a diet. I ate what I wanted when I wanted. That’s not the case anymore. Now I have to watch what I eat and how much of it I eat. I have found a few recipes that I know I will eat. I am still looking for more. It’s going to be a challenge to eat healthily but in the long run, it’s worth it.

@EvilEkf, sorry friend to hear about your sickness that brings you to adjust your food. That is better having knowledge of the unknown rather that continue doing what that unknown may trigger to a very bad sickness . We must always follow the doctors ‘ advise for they are expert on health. At least it is not a sickness like diabetes among others,it is just a high on cholesterol.Just reduce it by drinking 10 glasses of water everyday.void too salty foods.Better have tasteless foods for the sake of the good health. |

I don’t know but I have never believed in diets, don’t get me wrong but I always believe that certain sicknesses can be healed using natural methods if one is willing. Diets are usually just put there so that people can have alternatives. You can avoid fatty foods and snacking a lot, then you can also try not to have cholestral free foods. That’s all I can advice for now otherwise follow the advice that you have been given by your doctor so that you can get better soonest all the best. |
