Strangers and friends may see differently from their point of view. My relatives and friends said that my son is closer to his daddy but the truth is my son is closer to me instead. At home, whatever I say or do, my son follows not his daddy. That is why daddy is furious that his own son isn’t close to him. Boys should be closer to daddy while daughters closer to mommy. Not true, in my case. My daughter who is a teenager is closer to her daddy. She needed a pillar of guide , that is her daddy to guide her through her college life, friends, projects and how to deal with employers, employees. Daddy could do that. My son who is a school age child, is much closer to me because I know what he needs and how to overcome his school work problems. So, which child of yours is closer to you?

I am closest to my oldest daughter. I enjoy a very good relationship with all my kids but she and I are really kindred spirits. I think I will eventually feel the same way about my youngest daughter too. She is still growing but I do see a lot of myself in her 😀 My middle daughter is rather aloof most of the time – again, a trait I can identify with! I was like that n my teens. So we have our moments of being closer, but she needs a lot of personal space. She is my son’s absolute favourite person in the family and after her, he is closest to Daddy. |
