Let’s share in this group/forum celebrations, whether traditional or unusual celebrations. When I was on another site, I found that for about every day of the month there are celebrations!!
So let this group celebrate moments.

sissy @4cryingoutloud i have this kitten that likes to be hugged and carried. When she see me standing besides their cage, she will go near the door of the cage and put her best face to have my attention. She will do a weak eyes mode for me to have pity on her and carry her outside her cage. I mostly do it. Mostly I hugged cats are those cats that…[Read more]

Today June 4th, 2016 is “Hug Your Cat Day!” So if you have a cat hug your cat today. If you don’t have a cat and maybe want one, June is “Adopt A Cat” month!!
Do you have a cat? Would you adopt a cat?

@peachpurple maybe they get to used to me buying the cake so they forget to buy for me. I guess they anticipate I will buy a cake for ME. I do not buy myself a cake. Actually, we do not have something when I am celebrating my birthday. They greet me and that is all, but when it is their birthday, I will make sure they have cakes and ice cream. It…[Read more]

@grecy095/
Oh, such a shame!
Your parents or siblings should at least buy a cake for you.
You did your best for others, why they don’t appreciate your kindness?
Yes, I remembered you had mentioned of this Pancit Bihon which is similar to our local, wet bihun.
Our birthdays do not have ice creams but a 1kg birthday cake with candles to…[Read more]

We don’t mark Memorial Day in Canada, but since I’ve learned about the history of this holiday I’ve often thought we should at least adapt some of its customs for use around Remembrance Day in the fall. I think it’s important to think about the graves and memorials to our war dead, and to set aside time not only for their maintenance but to make…[Read more]

In my country, we prepare Pancit Bihon or Canton. We always have something like that when there is someone celebrating their birthdays. In our house, we always have a cake and Icecream, I am the one buying that, however, when I am celebrating my birthday I don’t have it. No one is buying for me.

Giving birth is a very special occasions and since one of our members here is waiting to give birth, I think we should have a virtual baby shower for @kaka135. I’ve thrown virtual parties before and we either share stories, play music, share food or anything that would be related to a party. So, I’ll start off with a game.

Each race of different country has its own birthday traditional practice in an unique way.
In China, taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia, Chinese families especially with old folks around the household, would definitely insist on boiling hard boiled eggs, dyed in red food coloring for the birthday person.
Recently, my 60++ year old mom had…[Read more]
