I have a Toyota sedan car, 5 seaters.

This is a great car for a family of 4 or 5.

The air-cond isn’t blowing cold enough but the speed of this car is superb.

It saves money on the fuel and maintenance, my hubby change the spare parts, engine oil, etc on his own.

So, we are saving the money on car maintenance too!!

The oldest car I had was 8 years old, also Toyota sedan.

So, what’s yours?

Unfortunately, I don’t have anything. I only pay for using public transportation vehicle like jeep, taxi, Mrt and Buses. I never had a car, nor a bike. I don’t know how to ride a bike either.

I have a Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, a good car for four or five but I use it mostly while traveling with my wife. I mostly use either my two wheeler for going to my work or my bike for nearby market.

@sunil

wow, a wagon still exist?

I don’t see any wagon now.

7 seaters and 5 seaters are common.

Motorbikes are common in villages and small towns but not in the city.

I rather ride a bike to the grocery shops than drive the car.

@grecy095

well, that is an advantage to you sis

You save the petrol, maintenance, road tax, licence, insurance, etc

Public transport is cheaper although it is tiring and sweaty.

But I guess that public buses and trains do have air-cond, right?

Just be careful of pick pockets and molesters

@peachpurple It is not a wagon but name of the car is WagonR manufactured by Indian car company Maruti in collaboration of Japanese car manufacture  Suzuki. Motorbikes are the main source of transportation of Indians available in the range of 100 CC to 750 CC.

We Indians have good number of motorbike and scooter manufacturers which sell like hotcakes in our country besides  mopeds in the range of 50 CC to 80 CC and all are in demand. You know we are a country of 1.35 billion people so we need all kind of bikes, motorbikes and cars etc for transportation.

@sunil

I understand now.

So how many bikes do you have?

Here, most household have 2-5 sedan cars, rare motor bikes

May 6, 2016 at 12:24 pm

@peachpurple We have two, one is 80 CC mostly used by my wife and other one is 125 CC motorbike that I use. You see traffic is one of our biggest problem so motorbike in busy city streets is our best choice. But I use my car when going out on longer travel or the weather is either too hot or rainy.

I have one car here and one car in Penrith, Sydney where I go often. In Penrith, Sydney I rarely see people driving a motorbike or whatever motorbikes they drive are racing bikes.

@sunil

ah that it good, regular used motorbikes are sufficient.

Racing bikes are expensive, not worth it unless your dad is a rich merchant.

A good sedan or wagon for long rides is compulsory.

thanks for sharing

@peachpurple would you believe it that I have traveled on motor bike for long fun journey covering more than 3000 km in 5 days in Himalayan region?

I have a gang of 5-6 friends fond of biking in hilly terrain and as I live close to Himalayas and a Nature lover I go regularly on tours for several decades. I love that more than anything else.

Incidentally I am writing a book on lovely touring spots of my country and most of the chapters will be from this area only.

@sunil

really? I think if you have a gang of riders going to long distance places can be fun, full of adventures, a great experience for riders.

Maybe you share with me your travels on LiteracyBase, huh?

my car is a Nissan Tiida, very economical on fuel,  very stable perfect body especially if it’s a girl driving it, very ideal. i like it because when it picks it picks very fast and can maintain a speed very well. the spares are easy to find, the only problem is that if your starring wheel locks or the ignition key is broken repairing it becomes very hard.

@peachpurple, I acquired a car in 1994, the first release of Nissan Sentra. I just bought a second hand worth 350,000. I sold it after 8 years and bought the latest Toyota Corolla. This time due to heavy traffic, I am afraid to drive my car.Drivers of all sorts in our city always get mad and many accidents happened here everyday because of traffic congestion .When the go signal starts, they drive as if they own the road.This morning here another vehicular accident happen. I prefer to ride on a taxi this time. I am afraid of senseless drivers. My nephew met a car accident 3 months ago, and he and his wife were lucky for they survived.

yeah, it is hard to drive the main road now

So many impatient drivers and motor cyclists on the road

September 16, 2016 at 4:29 pm

@peach purple, That is true, it is so hard to understand the attitude of some drivers. They are thinking that they are the owner of the road. They want to compete speed and want to overtake. They no longer respect the law.This time, there are still many drug addicts in the Philippines, the more crazy things to happen in the road. How nice to tell some drivers that should they want to commit a suicide,m they better do it alone not in the highway, but by plunging themselves in creek.There are so many cases here of hit and run. It was learned that those criminal- minded drivers are mostly drug addicts. Drug truly kills. there should be drug test to do before a person can acquire a driver’s license.
