| The judgement on Ananias revealed God’s hatred for all dishonesty in his kingdom. Deception among believers will divide the body of christ, destroy trust and bring dishonour in the eyes of the word. Ananias death also served as a warning to others sending a c lear massage to believers then and now: God is holy, and his people are to be holy. The response to this judgement indicates that God message came across loud and clear: Great fear came on all them that heard these things  Why do you think God’s judgementk on ananias was so severe?

| Three hours later, sapphira, unaware of what had happened by her husband, was questioned by peter about the sale price of the property when she lied about it, peter announced God’s judgement on her for tempting the spirit of the Lord. She fell down and died the men who had buried her husband took her out and buried her beside him. Questioning of peter sapphira gave her the opportunity to consider her course of action.
