Gossip is an idle talk or rumor. It is something that is not confirmed report or conversation of a group about a personal or private life of other people. It is an unkind attitude of a person towards others.

Social media is now one way of gossiping. Talking about celebrities or popular persons private affair is an example.

Some people say that it is just a way of bonding with their friends. It is their way of socializing, but on the other hand, it will ruin many lives, the reputation, the relationship of other people.

Do people really find joy and happiness in gossiping? Do they feel satisfaction when other people get hurt through their dirt talks?

Gossiping is not my thing. Personally speaking, some people do this act because of insecurity. I can be considerate what kind of issues or concerns that are being told by others. If I think it is becoming out-of-hand, I would rather stay away with these people. There are so many things to do productively than spending time gossiping with others especially if there is no basis at all.

@nehemia bayawa, To gossip means to talk of someone else life, and it is a sin to backbite a person.This is an act of cruelty and cowardice. Why not talk to the person straight to his/ her heart if there is something you do not like. This kind of act is very cruel for there is absence of the person’s knowledge the cause why others look at you meaningfully. You may also notice others turn sour and that gossip brought by a culprit is the main cause why sometimes our usual day to day living is being disturbed or changed differently.

Those gossipers are insecure persons. They have idle minds and idle lives. They better clean their house, bath their kids, plant flowers in their yard, write blogs, tutor their children and many mote to avoid their mouths itchy if cannot gossip.

This time, in the country of my residence, there is law approved by the house of congress , that whoever convicted gossiping will land in  jail hahahaha.Their mouths this time may have like a smell from a drainage not clean by floods, LOL.

Ma’am @Cely, having a law where convicted gossiping will put into jail is such a big help in eliminating blabber mouths. And oh :-O haha, that’s right ma’am, .. Their mouths this time may have like a smell from a drainage not clean by floods..

However, social media is now elsewhere to be used. To think that other columnists are the first one doing it. In fact, they should be more careful in writing such article about private lives of celebrities, though they are public figures but they are also a human who wants respect.
