Are you using a free anti virus or paid anti virus? What is the name of the anti virus which your are using, how effective is the software?

@pcwork  I am using McAfee that came as part of the deal with my laptop for two years, I will continue with the same when the time comes to renew it in the month of November. There are free ones available but I don’t mind paying for extra facilities.

@pcwork  I am using avast free anti virus since last 7 years. It is just working fine for me. With recent update I also got Avast Safezone browser specially made for net banking and all that. It is quite good.

I am using AVIRA anti virus which is free to download and free upates.

Although it can’t catch malware virus, I think it is good enough to stop those nasty viruses from crashing my os.

Malwarebytes is good for catching malware virus but crashes with other anti virus

I am using AVG antivirus, however it was not my decision, when I brought my PC home after taking him to the local PC service to fix some malfunctions, I noticed that they have put AVG as my prime anti-virus, and it is so since 2014. I have the 2014 version tho. As for preventing the computer to automatically click malware  Ads and stuff, I have downloaded the extension “Ad-Blocker”. But I stopped using it after I started my YouTube channel and monetized my videos, so ads can appear.

@pcwork generally you will find two sets of antivirus programs especially in free category it is generally a shorter one and with enhanced speed of internet it should not take more than few minutes to finish download.

I use Iobit.   I use others as well, keep changing them… but IObit is my foundation.
