I can’t figure out how to do the @name correctly!

Here almost anyone can vote.  The only people who can’t are people convicted of certain crimes.

I will vote in this year’s Presidential election for sure!

@nakitakona13 Thank you for sharing about your country.

I did not know much about Filipinos, but I have met many of them on these writing sites, especially mylot. I really like that all of you have a strong relationship with the family and are very friendly too. Moreover, I think you all really love your country very much. I am really happy to have met so many Filipinos online. 🙂

@lolaze You can move your mouse over to the member’s name, like yours, Lola, the profile URL will be shown as http://172.104.9.193/members/lolaze/ (it’s located on the bottom of the web browser), so copy the username “lolaze”, and add @ as the prefix.

I usually just right click on the member’s name, then click on “Copy Link Address” (in Chrome), and paste it on the comment box. I just removed all other parts except for the username, and add a prefix. By using this way, I won’t mistype the username. 🙂

Hope this helps.

@lolaze so those people are those inside the jail? In our country, people inside the jail can still vote, however, I am not sure if the voting system is not cheated in anyway.

I am from India.

Location: South Asia and neighbor to China and surrounded by an ocean (Indian ocean) and looks like a subcontinent.

Demographics: World’s second most populous country and second fastest economy too. A country which is home to more than 500+ languages, 25+ religions and 50+ ethnicity.

Weather: Mixed. North is generally cold while south is generally hot. Some places like Kashmir have temperature close to 275 Kelvin while some southern coastal areas are as hot as 311 Kelvin.

I feel there are very few Asians here. Most of the people are from Europe and USA.

@thinker Thanks for introducing your country. Grecy, peachpurple and I are from Asia, Southeast Asia to be exact. 🙂

I have found many Asians in online writing sites as well. Of course, perhaps more from Europe or US too.

I’m living in Nebraska.  Our college football team is the Cornhuskers. We are living in the southeastern part of the state.  We’re close to the Kansas border and the Colorado border.  So our weather is pretty much unpredictable!! lol  Trains go through Nebraska, as a matter of fact, there is a train going by now!!

Just like @Grecy Garcia,  I am also a very proud Filipino. With the very recent Natiomal Elections and having Duterte as the presumptive president,  I hope that there could be change in the country.

Sad to say thast right now am not thast happy with what is happeninv to our country becausr of the government officials that take advantage of the poor people.

I knew many filipino through online sites, first at bitLanders, blogjob, and now here.

My impression of them is they love their country and really proud to share about it – which for me is important because who else will be the best ambasadors for a country if not their own citizen?

Well, to added the list of people from South East Asia (there are @kaka135 and @peachpurple from Malaysia and @gracy095 and @jentleheart from Philippines )

I’m from Indonesia. ^^

About my country? It’s HOT! 😛

As the country that passed by tropical line, there’s 4 type of weather in here: rain (but only 3 months a year), hot, really hot, and very very HOT. LoL

The average weather is 32 C and it’s not difficult to get sweaty in here.

2 best things from my country:

1. The culture.

We have 32 provinces, 5 big islands and severals tiny islands, and hundres of local races. So, there’s lots of local language, traditions, and foods.

Even on this modern era, most of Indonesian still follow their traditions, so they still held ceremony procedure based on their traditions  such as wedding, funeral, and baby born.

2. The Nature

Because our country consist of hundreds of island, so you may found almost every type of nature  – mountaint, beach, lake, river, ocean, waterfall, you named it.

If you love the chill, you can climb the mountains or enjoy the view of the city at the hilltop. Or if you love get wet enjoy the waves or snorkling to see the underworld. :).

My home town is in West Sumatra (precisely where the tropical line crossed – don’t ask me how hot in there :P). And now i lived in Jakarta, Central Java.

— Edit: And while i write this, the rain just pouring. LoL

Now I know where you came from and thanks for giving additional information about that.

@thinker from India

@jentleheart my kababayan!!

@4cryingoutloud from Nebraska

@haraka from Indonesia

Thanks all for sharing!

I want to know is there something you hate and love in your country? Like @jentleheart sharing some frustrations, which is my frustration too about our country and I am not sure if frustration is the exact term to use. I don’t want to offend my kababayans.

Let me first to share that lack of discipline ruins our image. I wonder why when some Filipinos are outside our country they are following rules of the different country, why it is hard to follow our own rule. I could bend rules, but I am a good follower too.

On the brighter side, I love the importance of family in my country. Blood is thicker than the water. You will lose some of your friends, but never your family.
