If you could chose and be paid the same, aside from the LiteracyBase, what word count would you chose?

hmmm, I wonder how an Anonymous user can get 97 points!

For me, I get by with bare minimum.  I seldom like to do more than usual, unless for exceptional topics when I will write much more.

If I am at Hubpages, I had to write 700 words because that is the minimum word requirement

Here at LiteracyBase, I write 300 words- 500 words, I don’t write more because the earning isn’t double of the minimum amount.

For example, if 300 words = 1 cents, so 600 words should be 30 cents but here, it is 22 cents.

hence no point to write more.

@peachpurple I like the features of adding text capsule after you have submitted the blog in Hubpages.

I do not know if that is allowed now.

I have not been active in Hubpages for a long time.

@scheng1 Mine is in between 100 words to 7000 words. I have written most number in 1000 words for an Indian site which pays upfront. I am there for last 6 years and have a good collection of articles on different topics.

@scheng1/

yes, text capsules are allowed there.

Many of us writers at hubpages use the text capsules, caption capsules and amazon, ebay capsules to make our hubs “prettier:

You write there? I didn’t know that. I only knew you at bubblews.

Many people are not writing at hubpages anymore because of low traffic.

However, I am not giving up there yet.

I can still earn 20 cents per day at hubpages doing NOTHING!

I don’t post hub there but I do  answer questions, 5 only per day.

Thats all I did.

Compare to here, I had to comment a lot, 20-50 per day and earn almost the same.

I like between 300-500 words count and I think it should be the average requirement. Anything beyond 500 words is just so dragging and not everyone has all the time in the world to sit there and reading a lengthy post. If they do, they probably just scanning through to get to the comment section.

A lengthy article isn’t necessary good for SEO alone, as with a 300 words article, we still can focus on SEO in it.

@scheng I think “Anonymous” is @rapidblue. Not sure why, but she seems to have disappeared from the forums recently.

My ideal post length? I naturally tend to write posts that are in the 500-700 word range. I would like to see these posts and the longer ones given an even larger compensation on LB, because as you say there is better compensation for writing two shorter posts at this time. The site needs to offer more incentives for people who post longer, better quality texts.

@peachpurple You probably forgot to mention Squidoo, your success depended  on how many times you edited or added new content and shared it on social media. If your lenses were not in top 80 they earned nothing but if you managed that rank then there was no stopping.

I am writing blogs today and I prefer writing 300 words, the same goes with Blogjob but once my words exceeds to 400, then I tried to edit my words to make it to 500 words and more. I forget the rate of the number of words. Let us see what happens when it gets approve. I had written more than 1000 words in here. My blogs varies with words. I already made 500, 800 and more than 1000 words. I never had 300 words, lol, which I prefer in the first place.

I like it when I have the brains and the thoughts to share, but when I am tired I rather not work on the site because my writings will be look like forced to post. I rather give my readers a good story because that should be a writing must have, a good story. I hope you understand my point though.

@peachpurple I was there long time ago, and had deleted all my content.

I was not a good affiliate marketer, and I prefer to write for writing sites.

I remember there was a time when I wrote a hub, and kept on adding the text capsules until the whole hub was 2000 words.

Later on, I deleted that hub and all other hubs, and split up the long content into many shorter ones to publish in other sites.

@scheng1 I have been hearing a lot from Hubpages and I thought the site went down already but then @peachpurple told us that it is still up and running. I would love to try the site but the number of words, like 700, really irks me because I can’t do it. However, I need to try.

so you are there before?
