The Nigeria Police has on Tuesday, July
24, paraded a suspected herdsman for
allegedly killing a police inspector,
Umaru Danladi.
The Kebbi police command during the
parade said Bubuga Kuaara killed
Danladi who was before his death
attached to Koaje police division in
Baguo local government of Kebbi state.
Speaking on the alleged crime
committed, Kuaara said he killed the
police inspector with a cutlass.
Kuaara said: “I killed the policeman for
arresting me, because a farmer had
reported me to the police.”

Paraded alongside the suspected
herdsmen were eleven other suspected
inlcuding kidnappers, ex-convict turned
car snatcher, Peter James, who was
caught while stealing a vehicle in Birnin-
Kebbi, and 291 other other arrested
during various raids in July.
The Kebbi state commissioner of police,
Ibrahim Kabiru, said Kuaara would be
charged to court.
“The command has embarked on raiding
of criminal hideouts in order to make
Kebbi State safe and secure for more
economic growth and development,”
Kabiru said.
He added that out of the 291 suspects
arrested by his command, 44 had been
released, while six were under
investigation.
He said 24 other suspects have also been
charged to court, while 201 had been
convicted while 17 were awaiting trial.The organisation, Save Humanity
Advocacy Centre (SHAC), condemned the
alleged ongoing politically masterminded
killings in Nigeria.
The group, while threatening to drag
those behind the bloodletting in the
country to the ICC said the endless
clashes between herders and farmers,
which has led to lost of lives and
valuables worth millions of naira had
political undertone….
