You will find out here if you are getting a lot of traffic via smartphones (320×480) or tablets(768×1040). In case you are getting a lot of traffic via smartphones and tablets then you should opt for a mobile-friendly theme for your blog.

Yes, it is pretty common that everybody nowadays are using either the smartphones or tablets, but you can escape from actually making a mobile theme in addition to your blog. I have my own blogs and I can say that I do get a lots of hits from the mobile browsers and smartphones. To solve this problem in the best possible and the easiest way for you, you can you the responsive theme. Before, a few years ago, the responsive themes were terrible ugly and I usually avoid to use any of that on my own blogs. I just could not deal with the appearance that was so shamelessly basic. God help the basic! But, with the time the responsive web design took over the internet just because it is adaptive to any device and any browser alike. Responsive themes are usually mobile-friendly, so there is no need to make another m-subdomain, like before, but simply use a theme that has everything already.
@ Rapid Blue You are right! One should opt for a mobile-friendly theme to make the most of the traffic coming your way.
@swalia yes, well, if they can’t see you they can’t use or read your blog. Mobile browsers show much less than PC, so it is advisable to do this in order to gain more traffic. I have to stress it out, many responsive themes are not adjusted to a small screen phones and they look really ugly. Also, my username is @rapidblue if you write it separated, I can’t get any notifications.
@rapidblue Ohh yes! Thank you for mentioning it. I will take care of the username in future 🙂 |
