Gibo Word of Wisdom 1

Gibo Word of Wisdom 1

This is my youngest son’s quote. I have posted it here with his permission. His quote is about one’s weakness. I may have mine and you may have one too. Napoleon has his “Waterloo”.

My youngest is a very witty person. He is wise and reserved like me. He has so many uplifting statements of words or phrases worth sharing. I would be sharing them here one at a time. They are of different ideas, thoughts, and values. They are sometimes humorous but full of wisdom. He has used the hashtag #giboWordofWisdom. By profession, he is a programmer. He has also several words of wisdom about his work and they are also worthy to be shared.

@Patti jo  That’s a beautiful quote. When things do not go well with me I know they will pass off and I hence remain calm. Yes they pass off – every single time.

Even the strongest mythological Achilles has its weakness. Someone had struck his tendon in the ankle joint. Nowadays, it was used in the medical terminology as the tendon of Achilles. A person cannot stand firm without this tendon. We, as humans have our weaknesses. But it doesn’t mean we can enhance or improve it. We have the power to change its course to be a better person in strengthening our weaknesses in life.

@pattijo this is how I interpret your image quote.

What makes life amazing that something that you feel happy about, satisfied and contented? The good life you have had with your spouse, the good camaraderie you have with your best friends and associates. The happiness that you feel for the good health that everyone in your family is having. The success which anyone of the member in the family has achieved, especially of having a regular job, of passing the exams, of having a cute, energetic baby in the family. All those things may be considered as amazing.

The opposite, of course, is something which awful. You find them difficult to get along with. You find a hard time in doing them. They make your in a big trouble. Those are the trials, challenges in any form which your life couldn’t avoid for they are a part of living in this troubled, chaotic world. No one, no not one is a happy about it. Everyone is cursing it, its awfulness. And they are the reverse of amazement. They give sorrow, sadness and frustrations.

But along the way, there is an ordinary way of living. They may be in between the amazing and awful kind of living. They are a part and parcel of life. They make life wonderful, beautiful.

@Patti jo, I like the quote, so true to a real life’s situation. I have experienced this kind in my life. There is interchangeable happenings and as part of human existence we cannot avoid ups and downs, and despite odds met, we still consider life so beautiful.

What I can say is this life is sweet and it’s also sour. It’s not everyday you wake up and all is well, there will be days when you feel you just don’t want to be in this world but also in the midst of that confusion you will still find a reason to smile and be happy. Nothing is that good until you go through some stuff that will put you down. Those ar3 my thoughts

@sauda, what a wonderful thought you have. I like it. Generally, life could be comparable to a turning wheel. Sometimes, you are up, meaning you are full of blessings in life. Your happiness is beyond measured. Your friends are wishing you all the best you have had that day. Then in the later day, you are down. You are full of problems, miseries in life. That sometimes you feel discouraged on what to do. You are confused, full of worries. You look at life as nothing that as useless. You don’t have enough hope to abide with.

In that scenario, you may know now that happiness is not permanent, So as with woes and worries. As the life wheel keeps on turning you will be experiencing the ups and downs. The point you have to put in mind always is to get ready for any eventualities. You are ready to accept things as they are. And the last thing to do is trust the Lord who provides you of what you have every day.

@shavkat – That is true. Any character in the Bible has their own weaknesses. Even the greatest heroes in all times, they had their own weaknesses too. Samson for example, his weakness is his long hair. Napoleon Bonaparte, his downfall is the Waterloo battle. But their weaknesses couldn’t be protected because of over confidence of themselves. For they are also humans and they are not perfect. They are blinded by the whims and caprices, and empty pride.

But in Christ’s point of view, our weaknesses could be made strong if we are steadfast and have unwavering faith in Jesus. Jesus looks at our weaknesses as a leading or spiritual guide to humbleness, humility. When they are properly nurtured, harnessed would become strong and indomitable before the eyes of the Lord. That is what we always put in mind. In God, there is no impossibility.  Everything is possible because of faith.

@nakitakona13 I do think that all of us have their own weaknesses in life. As they said, no one is perfect in this world. If they do claim their own perfection, then you are also God. All I know, if we have our own weaknesses in life, we need to lift up ourselves for improvement. I think that is the positive way to deal our weaknesses in life.
