@naaruto 100 It has a strong smell and tastes quite sweet. We make dishes out of it

@ sivasubrahmanyam shatdarsanam That indeed is a lot of information. I have never seen jackfruits growing on creepers. They grow on huge trees here. I have 3 trees. Your information about the fruit is correct. I like to eat seeds too. We boil them.

@peachpurple You are right about the fruit rotting fast. We eat them, make different dishes. And cut a couple separate the seeds, make small packets and store them in the deep freeze. We use them throughout the year in making dishes. Jackfruit as you say is a seasonal fruit.
@bestwriter That’s sounds interesting. Strong smell with sweet taste. That’s good that it can be used with other dishes too. I am sure you are talking about sweet dish.
2naruto 100 We make several sweet dishes with it.
@bestwriter Got it . That sounds really good, I mean it is good if we can make many dishes with one item. Thanks for info.
@ bestwriter It is one of my favorites. My mom cooks a very delicious dish f jackfruit which we love to relish.
@shaloo walia Do you buy it or do you have a tree? I am told this fruit is costly while here I just do not know what to do with them! I get too many of them.
Wow! You’re lucky to be growing a jackfruit tree and harvesting from it! I like the raw, preserved and cooked jackfruit fruit. They grow in tropical areas. I also learned that the seeds can be steamed or boiled to be eaten. They (the cooked seeds) taste like sweet potatoes. They’re really very nice. Also, the fleshy white capsules can be cooked with coconut milk, sauteed garlic, ginger, onions and chopped meat as a savory dish. Thanks for sharing!
@WHY’Z DAT? I too love jackfruit but I get a bumper crop each year.
