… to be with someone, do something.. etc. – will you go? or will you do it? if YES, what will you do and who will you meet again and why?

This is an interesting question. I might choose not to go back, as I really enjoy where I am now, with my supportive husband and my lovely children. I am happy to be where I am now. I can’t think of any particular time or period that I wish to go back and anyone I wish to meet too. It’s not that I do not miss some of my friends whom I have not seen for years, but I am just satisfied and contented with the loved ones I am with now.

@ Lee Ka

I was thinking about this the other day.

I told myself if only I could go back and save that hour to change something in my past – then when I thought about it for awhile – a great while actually, I realized that even if I was able to change that 1 hour in my past then I will be changing the whole course of my life. I would never have met my dear husband and I would never be where I am now. Of course it will not be so bad if I had chosen a different direction but I’m glad I had a lot of time to think about it cause it made me feel better about my choices.

@
Christi Ann Tonel Espinola  I would prefer not to go because when I will come back I would regret why I had to come back. So I will cherish my memories the way they are.

@suny

that’s good then,. it does take a while to accept the things we do but we’d do them all over again anyway if we are given that second chance.

@slayer08 Sometimes I would also think there were a few moments or big decisions in my life, how it would be if I have made a different choice. But, I think I might still choose the same path, at that time, with that mentality, with the restriction from my parents. I was still who I was, and I don’t think it would be different. Hence, I think there is no “IF”, when we are put in that situation, we might just choose path A, but not B. What if we choose path B? Then it will be a different story. Even if we could go back, we might still choose path A. So whenever I want to make a decision, I will decide on the criteria at that time. Once I have chosen it, I will not turn back or regret, but if it’s not a right path, I just turn to another path. That’s it. 😀

Yes, I agree with you. If I have made something changed in my life, I might not be able to meet my husband as well. I always believe, we are meant for each other, so no matter how, we still met each other, fell in love, and now established a lovely family. I guess it’s same to you as well. 🙂

@sunil It’s good to hear that! I guess it’s good for us to live in the moment, enjoy our present too!

@slayer08 Yes, I totally agree with you! 😀

then we call agree that we don’t need that extra time to go back after all. haha

funny about regret, it challenges you and put you in a situation where you doubt your choices in life – like, if I made a different decision I would have been somewhere else, doing something else. And that might seem, for a time, a fancy idea. But in reality even if there is a time machine handy, you’d think a million times before you go back and lose all the things you now have.

@Lee Ka I am feeling so inspired with your words that I have decided to make it a full story on how many times I have lost my payment by silly mistakes. I will post it now and see if they find it worth publishing. 🙂

@ Christi Ann Tonel Espinola  I would probably go back in time and relive my 21 amazing days at our ashram in Bangalore along with my amazing batchmates. Those were the best days of my life- living in the ashram, training to become an Art of Living teacher, getting to spend time with senior teachers and the best of all, having darshan of my spiritual master daily.

@suny

indeed! I also agree with what Lee Ka said. 🙂

I would not want to change anything in my life.

I have gone through some problems, I have lost a new born daughter and I have suffered some other losses but each joy and sorrow has made me the person I am today and i am content by grace of Allah.

I am not beautiful or rich and it would be nice to have many things but I am still at peace so I guess I wouldn’t want to change anything in my life or go back in my past.

Hmm…

I wouldn’t change anything but if i get this opportunity i’ll be back to a specific time – before my dad passed away, so i can enjoy and feel that time once again, simply because i miss him.

I may not request 1 hour, I feel really blissful if i can do that for 5 minutes. 🙂

@sunil That’s a good idea! I would love to read that, and I think it’s good to remind others as well. Sorry, but I am really not teasing you at all, I think it’s always good to learn from someone, even if it’s a mistake.

@dawnwriter I am sorry for your loss. That’s really painful, but glad that you are contented now. Though we might not be rich or beautiful from the outside, I believe we are rich in our inner selves. 🙂

@haraka I am sorry for your loss too. I understand that would be a very good reason to want to go back. Hope you will have that moment in your dream. 🙂

I probably would go back if I had the chance, but not to change anything in my past as this really cannot be changed. I would go back to a day that my parents were still alive and healthy and tell them everything I want them to know so that they can enjoy the thought that they were appreciated and loved. But as @suny said we would not want to come back and it would probably just make us feel worse than before we went back. I could see this happening with me, so I will just keep my memories and be happy with that.
