Our garden is specially designed with lush greenery, plenty of fruit trees and a birdbath  to attract birds and every single day countless of them are seen bathing  in the bird bath and that includes the much neglected crows.
For me they are as good looking, as interesting, and as absorbing as any other bird that visits our garden. Who says that crows are unhygienic. Watch this crow having a time of his life bathing in the bird bath, and then drying himself up perched on the coconut tree, drawing the attention of other crows and joining them later. It was fun capturing these images and watching these innocent beings having fun.

I am not sure if we have crows in the city. It can only be seen this in the lowland area of my country. I do think they have their own ways to tidying themselves. It is also with the cat, they do proper grooming by themselves.

@shavkat  The video that I have uploaded here is worth watching This crow was seen using our birdbath

@bestwriter I didn’t see the link earlier. It was a good thing you had the chance to take video of this bird. What a pity for me to experience this. Living in the city has so many disadvantages. Thank you for sharing this video clip here.

While they aren’t exactly my favourite bird, I do like crows. Like other corvids, they’re very intelligent creatures. We live not far from a place called the “Crow’s Nest Pass” and have many, many crows in our town. They can be very amusing to watch sometimes!

@ruby3881 I just could not believe when this raven visited our Birdbath and was having a time of his life.  I had to click that video.

I like crows even though they are scavengers, but when the sun shines on them kind of like blackbirds they can have a purple sheen even if it is not as bright as the blackbirds.

@Mark Graham  I never knew crows also bathe until I saw one of  them in our birdbath. Just could not resist clicking.

I don’t like crows because:

Stole my clothes hangers

Picked on garbage bins, strewn all over the waste of the road

Poop on my verandah, daily!!!

Kept sitting on the TV antenna-poor reception

Destroyed my papaya trees, all 3 of them dead!

Very noisy early in the morning and now at 11am, they are still crowing outisde

In addition, I often seen crows flying low near to the road in order to grab garbage, dead rats, dead cats or dogs, feeding on the carcass

Once I even found a crow dead outside my car porch.

I  found bits of plastic in its beak

Yesterday, I saw a flat dead crow on the streets, ran over by incoming vehicles.

So, crows are nothing but troubles

@peachpurple  Sorry to hear about this but I have had wonderful memories.  We have had crows in our childhood who would still be there when we visited our home even after several years. And where I am now their number is dwindling. Those around are not a nuisance.

lucky for you.

crows are scavengers pest here in our country that the town council had to hire someone to shoot them down.

They are not cute birds but pest disasters

@ bestwriter Today only I was talking to my mom and telling her that we hardly see any crows nowadays. Though we heard so many birds chirping in the morning, but never see or hear any crow. It’s strange!

I don’t like crows in particular but I don’t dislike them either. Crows have their own place in the environment and serve a useful purpose.

@peachpurple  Very sad to hear that.

@shaloo walia  And when the crow was taking a dip in our birdbath, I just had to click him. Did you watch that clip?
