I love my mornings as I get up fresh to start the day. I have yet to understand how people could stay awake deep into the night and keep themselves busy but get up late when the sun is right on top.

Though I sleep late at night but yet I do wake up early in the morning and be ready to get out from the house to take the morning fresh air and to see the rising morning sun. Once I see the rising sun, another opportunity is opened. Another hope is available to those who have been frustrated by their ambition in life. You mentioned, “Morning Person” which reminds me of the song, “Morning Has Broken” popularized by my favorite British singer-songwriter Cat Stevens. Here are part of the said lyrics of the song: “Mine is the sunlight, You know what does the phrase, “Morning has broken” means? It is a song of praise. That song is a Christian hym created by Eleanore Farjone and it is published sometime in 1931. For Cat Stevens, it is the first day of the Spring.
I used to sleep at 3am or 4am in the morning because I was obsessed with Bubblews then. After my son started to go morning school this year, I had to switch my time to Morning Person. So, I sleep at 8.30pm and wkes up at 5am. I can’t sleep late anymore. I would feel extremely tired, kept yawning non step. I do find morning is the best time because most people are asleep at 6am in the morning. So internet connection is fast, submitting posts without any glitches. Furthermore, all household chores are done in the morning too. So by noon, I am very free, less pressure.
@nakitakona13 You are truly a morning person every sense of the term . But do you get enough sleep?
@peachpurple Those are my timings too. I love the mornings and my brain is fresh too.
I am neither a morning person nor a night owl. I often like to divide my sleep up, so I can enjoy both the quiet late at night and the freshness of the new day breaking 🙂
Ruby3881 Now let me get it straight. You sleep in two phases. Right? 🙂
@bestwriter, well if I am going to count the number of hours I sleep when I get to bed 10 in the evening and wake up 6 in the following morning, I have slept 8 hours. In my senior age like 64, are those 8 hours are enough sleep for me?
@nakitakona13 When you said you sleep late I assumed that it was past midnight. You have good 8 hours – that’s great.
Those of us who work offline are generally morning workers. They have to get up early no matter what. I was looking at a post linking the relations between morning person and age old proverb: Early bird gets the worm. I remember during my College times, I used to be the funniest guy. This was because I slept at 21:00 hours in general and got up around 03:00 hours in the morning. (That was my study time) Those 6 hours of sleep were enough for me. The astonishing fact was that: I was the only one in the entire University having this schedule. When the “study period” was over and it was vacation time – I extended my sleep. I needed it as SLEEP is basically an acronym. It stands for Stress Level Elimination Exercise Planning. So, I slept for 10 hours then (had nothing else to do). Now, the schedule is different. I do not sleep a 21:00 hours but I get up early. (No, not at 03:00 hours but a bit later). Anyways @nakitakona13 Enjoy your day. You deserve 8 hours of Sleep given the fact that you are senior for rest of us.
@thinker There are conflicting reports about how much is good sleep. Some say six is good enough. I get that much and the indication is that if one gets up fresh then whatever hours are good enough. In your case your activity guided you. I too am a senior. What I have noticed is that if I am physically active throughout the day I can sleep for 8 hours or more.
@bestwriter Though I sleep late at night but still I manage to wake up early. Morning hours are so quiet and serene. I love doing my sadhna in the morning as it’s the perfect time for spiritual practices. I wake up by 5 am and chant my daily rounds of Hare Krishna mahamantra.
@shaloo walia If more people were like you and me this world would have been a more efficient place (lol)
I am an early bird as always. In fact, I sleep late and wake up early. I think it is my routine to do so. I like cold breeze in the morning and spend time in my balcony at midnight before taking my power nap. I hope I could change sleep-wake pattern soon,
@Shavkat So you have few hours of sleep. If that is sufficient for you that’s all that matters. |
