I know most of us here are receiving our payment from online writing job earned to PayPal. I am also using PayPal as my money processor when I am paid for my online business transaction like ads payment which I accommodated in my blogs, payment for review I have written, online writing task completed, among others. In short, my PayPal account is only to receiving payment. What about if I have something to pay in return for an online shopping or whatever and I don’t have a penny left for my PayPal account, what should I do?

I would be using PayPal for it has been very beneficial to me for several years already and I find no problem of any kind whatsoever while using it. Any suggestions are very much appreciated. Thanks.

@nakitakona 13, Hi friend? I think we cannot purchase on line if there is no money left in your pay pal account.They are going to instruct you to go to your pay pal to finish the transaction, if found no money, you will be informed that money is insufficient.However, if purchase thru installment, you can do it despite zero money in PP for you’ll pay thru installment.  Last time I tried to purchase thru eBay and payment made thru pay pal, but the item I wanted  to purchase was higher than my money in pay pal, so I cancelled my transaction with them, but I purchased thru installment and payment thru pay pal and was approved.

@lovern, yes that’s true. That is my point when I don’t have enough money left in my PayPal account. How could I replenish it? That is my question. How can I add money to my PayPal? Do I have to go to the bank to transfer money to my PayPal account? Could it be possible?

I remember before when my blog domain was about to expire I had requested a friend with enough money for her PayPal to pay GoDaddy for me. Then I paid her back when my PayPal had received payment from my online earning job.

Do you get what I mean?

@nakitakona13/

the bank or another paypal account.

You can transfer your funds from your saving account to your paypal account. However you need to link your paypal to your saving account first.

Second way is request your friend to send funds from his paypal to your paypal, but this is much troublesome because you have to pay him back, right?

I remember in paypal there is money request section, you can check it out.

@peachpurple, you are right. I have requested my friend with a PayPal account to repay my GoDaddy account and in return, when I get enough money for my PayPal I repay her. However, instead of paying to her PayPal account, she gave her bank account number and I deposited the repayment to the said bank account.

You second suggestion is to transfer money from my own bank account. I have a debit card with my BDO. I will try if I could make it. However, I have to pay the charge which would be taken from my bank account in that case. Isn’t it?

@nakitakona13/

yup there is a charge for each transaction either the bank or paypal, just couldn’t figure out which one.

Thanks, @peachpurple for your help and concern on this matter. 🙂

@nakitakona 13, Yes friend, you can add money thru your affiliated bank. Mine in Cagayan de Oro is Union Bank, others BDO. Deposit there and tell the teller for pay pal payment. That is also the manner when pay your purchases thru ob lie and payment thru pay pal.

June 21, 2016 at 2:05 pm

@peachpurple, That is true peach, we have to transact payments or receivables thru pay pal and its affiliated bank.

June 21, 2016 at 2:07 pm

@nakitakon 13 and @peachpurple, the pay pal charge for every transaction is P50 pesos Philippine money.

@lovern, it’ good you tell me about an affiliate bank. I  have a debit card in BDO. In case, I would be running out of fund or money for my PayPal, I would replenish it by making a deposit to my BDO account. In that case, my PayPal account wouldn’t be compromised and my payment for the renewal of my domain name for my blog wouldn’t be affected.

nakitakona 13, This is to remind you that Pay pal bank account is independent, meaning if you have other accounts in BDO, they cannot be used for your pay pal.That is an independent account with a separate ATM.

June 25, 2016 at 1:35 pm

@lovern I have already used my BDO debit card to receive any payment to my PayPal account. My question is how to send money to my PayPal account. There is one answer that says that it could be possible by using my BDO bank account. I just inform the bank personnel to do it for me.

If you have a credit card , use it in depositing payment thru pay pal, if not, go to BDO and tell the teller assigned in pay pal section that you’re going to send money.

June 26, 2016 at 2:30 pm

@lovern, yes I will remind the BDO teller in case I am running out of money in PayPal and I have an online financial obligation to pay. Before I requested my fellow blogger to pay for me using her PayPal and I repaid her through her Union Debit Card. But this time, I will follow your suggestion since we have a BDO branch in our area. I don’t know if there is a bank charge for that payment request from BDO to my PayPal account?
