@ruby3881 Yes it was a bad hemmorhage and my sister’s life passed before her eyes since she thought she was going to lose and she would be stuck with two babies. I felt my life slipping away from me. I did not know that it was happening since the numbness from the spinal had not completely went away. I initially thought that something had happened to the catheter and I was urinating on myself. I had my sister look and she said call a nurse. By the time the nurse got there the blood was all the way down to my ankles. According to the doctor, I had blood clots the size of grapefruits. They were not sure what caused it but thankfully they stopped it. Anytime, I passed a blood clot after that I was freaking out. I ended up having a D&C a couple of months after that because I did not stop bleeding after the six weeks like normal. A couple of years ago I had a hysterectomy because I had endometriosis really bad so maybe it had something to do with that.

Wow @morgoodie, it sounds like you had a rough time of it! I’m glad you were able to have your twins before the hysterectomy. Neither of my sisters-in-law have children of their own. Both had partners who’d had children from a previous relationship. I think the younger one would have liked to have her own kids, but they felt two were enough. And by the time they split up she had two adult step-kids and was old enough that she just wanted to do empty nester things,
@ruby3881 I shouldn’t have said babies since I did not have twins. My children are only 15 months apart though so that is what I meant by my sister having 2 babies. But do feel I was lucky to have been blessed with them before having the hysterectomy. My sister does not have any children either, but she feels as though mine are hers as well. She feels the same about our other nieces and their babies. So in essence she has 7 children who love her very much.
Birth of baby under C section doesn’t permit anyone to indulge in activities like forum nor it is advisable. I hope she should stay away from all these for at least 10 days. I expect her to be here for short conversation in 2nd week of June.
@morgoodie Sorry for the confusion about your kids! Now I understand why you said two babies 🙂 @sunil I suppose it depends on the hospital & the doctor, but most C-sections are now done with the so-called bikini cut. It’s just a 10-centimeter incision, horizontally and not across the abdomen. It’s painful, believe me! I just about cried for my morphine in the first 24 hours after the surgery. But by the time Mama is ready to leave the hospital, the main restrictions are just not to do any heavy lifting for 6 weeks. It’s somewhat more strenuous than a natural birth, but not so much you couldn’t sit up to use a computer or mobile device.
Thank you for all the concerns! I am so touched to read your messages. 🙂 My baby and I are both very well, though my wound still gives me pain, I am very good and can take care of my baby and even spend time with my two elder kids. Usually we will stay in the hospital for two nights for c-section here. I stayed for longer because the insurance I bought comes with this maternity benefits where I will be given allowance for staying up to 5 nights. So, I just took this opportunity to take a good rest in the hospital. I do not have a smart phone, so I could not go online in the hospital. My husband also asked me to just rest, and even advised me not to bring a book. But, I requested for a book on my second last day of staying in the hospital. I think I already have good and enough rest for the previous few days. 😛 I will still try to spend some time online. I do miss LiteracyBase and you all. I will try to read other forum and blog posts and when possible. Thanks again! 🙂
@Lee Ka Thanks for the update but I am curious to know if the baby is a boy or a girl and how much s/he weights right now. I am sure you will e back here in a day or two and have fun like you did earlier. Take good care of baby and yourself 🙂
It seems there is feeling of emptiness and longing to someone already a part of your blogging world. That is indeed how we feel if no longer see someone we learned to be part of our life. May they come back soon here,
Happy to know you have answered all questions about your friends here.I hope this time you are in the pink of health.
It seems you had a crucial experience in the past. I hope the next time after that it was a smooth sailing one. It is not easy to have many bad feelings to feel in our body.
Do you mean they twins? My God lucky parents.Take care of yourselves and the babies.
@kaka135 I’m so glad you were able to check in, and pleased to hear you and your baby are doing well. We missed you!
glad to see you here! How is your baby boy? Must be chubby, 3.5kg weight? Yes, your hubby is right, do rest well as the stitches are recovering. Good to hear that you had rested well, good opportunity to use the insurance coverage. No books, no smartphone for the first few days must had been very boring for you. However, you got to watch TV right? And chit chat with those aunties? Don’t stay up late or for too long while you are recovering,OK? Backaches will occur as you grow older. take care and drink more ginger tea, DOM, whatever that can warm up your body. Rock a bye baby on the tree top…. humming…. Cheers
@kaka135 I am so glad that you and your baby are doing well and you are getting lots of rest. I am glad that you could get on here to say hello. Take care and hopefully, you will be back before we know it.
@sunil It’s a baby boy, and he was 3.09kg when he was born. He is the lightest among my three children when they were born, perhaps he is also one week earlier (39 weeks only) due to the scheduled c-section. I am actually quite small sized, so my babies were considered quite big when they were born, and that’s also why my first had to go through emergency c-section. 😀 I am currently working on my software project when I have some free time, so I can spend some time here as well. My baby is sleeping really well these few days, and I am not tired at all. I might not be able to spend as much time as previously, because I need to spend more time with my children and preparing for their homeschooling lessons too. But, I am still organizing my stuffs now. 😀 @lovern I am so touched with all my friends’ concerns and care here. It’s so nice to be part of the community here and be your friend too. @ruby3881 Thanks for asking, and I miss you all too. I am doing really well now, just some pains, but that’s good to experience too. 😀 |
